This is a pretty basic aquarium with two dolphins and one otter. Most shows were moved indoors due to inclement weather. The staff was gracious and was everywhere, but parts were closed for refurbishing and the rest of the sea life selection was basic.

Week of Thanksgiving visit to the Aquarium. Temperatures were cold so the turtles were moved inside. Dolphin tank with Kai and Shadow was interesting. Attendants at every display ready to give you information on what was in the tank/ area.

Sea horse display had a dome you could sit in and watch the sea horses swim around you - more adults did this than kids!

There were also birds (hawks and eagles) and alligator displays, so it wasn't just sea life at the aquarium.

Lots of live / interactive shows going on in the front foyer. Injured and rehabilitated animals brought out. A hawk actually flew from one attendant to another over the audience!
Many hands on tanks where you can touch sting rays, sharks and hermit crabs.

Enough indoor and outdoor activities you could enjoy things no matter what the weather. Most of the outdoor areas had canopies to block sun, though heavy rain did seep through or drip from the sides.

Bathrooms were clean and stocked with supplies. Water fountains available as well as a snack bar (which we didn't utilize.) We had an enjoyable, entertaining, and stress free visit.

The whales spouting water in the courtyard before you entered was entertaining, though we avoided the spray due to the cold temperatures.

Parking ($5.00) was close enough to the building.

All in all, we enjoyed this visit immensely and if you go plan to spend at least half the day

They have tons of amazing animals and a petting zoo. You can also go see a dolphin show. In the petting zoo you can touch stingrays and sharks. There are also smaller sea creatures to touch. This is a really good place for small children too because they will stay entertained. After you finish there the ferry is only a few yards away from the entrance and they will take you to another part of Corpus. My family had so much fun!

We went in Dec and it was cold out but served as a good indoor attraction. I suppose it would be the same if it was too hot to be outside. Great learning experience for the whole family

The Texas State Aquarium is certainly a must see attraction for any visit to Corpus Christi. It houses tanks that contain marine wildlife that is found in the local bays and estuaries and Gulf of Mexico. The TSA also exhibits wildlife from the Amazon Region. In addition, the Aquarium has dolphin and wildflight shows that are excellent entertainment. A day at the Texas State Aquarium is a day well spent.
