We got there about 30 minutes before closing and the place was fairly busy. About 1020 they started cleaning up, moving tables, sweeping, etc and we still did not have our food. The food was ok, nothing to write home about.

Try the onion rings as an appetizer. They were very good. The gumbo was great. The seafood was fresh. Loved the tarter sauce.

Railroad has introduced craft beer to Corpus Christi. They currently have four beers on tap, from light to dark in color. The beer was very refreshing and great tasting. Cheers! We had dinner our with our college age daughter. The seafood was very good and service good for a crowded Friday night.

Wife and I went for a quick and light lunch on a Saturday.

We we greeted by a male host who didn't seem like he wanted to be at work that day. Thankfully, our server was quite pleasant and prompt.

We ordered 2 cups of gumbo and an avocado salad. The cups of gumbo were small but tasty. The avacado salad was good but nothing extraordinary (avacado, tomato, 2 olives, lettuce and zesty italian).

Table top in the far corner by the emergency door wobbles and that's always a bit annoying.

Was there earlier in the week for a business lunch, had the fried shrimp...it was good.

Try the roasted potatoes as a side, they are delicious!

This past Friday night we were in Corpus shopping and decided to go for our favorite restaurant/bar on the T-head. We love the place for the great water/city/bridge view and usually go early but this time we arrived at 7:30 and were surprised with a 90 minute wait. It looks like they have outgrown their kitchen. We decided to try Railroad Seafood Station because a friend had told us they had very good seafood. WRONG! We had not tried it before because it does not have a view and being in a beach city we prefer to visit those on the water but they were recently featured on the television for starting a Micro Brew so we thought it might be a good opportunity to check it out. The place was only half full and we were taken straight to a table. Once we ordered we had to wait over 30 minutes for our order. When the food was delivered the shrimp were very small and tough with very little flavor. The broccoli slaw had a strange taste. I do not understand why a beach city restaurant can not have fresh seafood that is cooked properly.
