“Lots of fun, informative”

Great Cats World Park
Reviewed May 27, 2013

This place was a last minute addition to our trip, but I'm so glad we stopped. This is a tour facility. You go cage by cage and the tourguide gives you an abundance of information about each cat. The cages were nice, you can tell these people really care for these animals. Definately a hit for our 3, 7 &10 year old girls.

We stopped in on our way to Reno. This place is very awesome for people who love felines. They are a local attraction in Cave Junction, Oregon. They take in cats from people who can no longer take care of them and give them a great life. A lot of the cats are famous from pictures to movies. You get an intimate tour of the cats by a knowledgeable guide and the whole experience is well worth the money and time. Stop and visit and support a good cause.

This is a must see attraction when visiting southern Oregon - definitely a destination to visit. We take all visitors to Great Cats. You'll see cats you've never seen before and the way the staff deal with their animals is professional and caring. We've had opportunities to see babies, too.

The guides are very knowledgeable about the cats and the issues that they face in the wild. They're also funny and keep you intertained during the tour. The cats are very well taken care of and the larger ones have large areas for them to roam. You get to be up close to the animals, with nothing separating you from them except a chain link fence. If the male lion is good form. he'll let out a roar that will rattle your whole body. It is truely impressive.

For those saying that they would have wanted more "wild" pictures, the park does offer special photo sessions. They aren't cheap, and have to be set up in advance, but you can get all of that information from their web site.

As Mr. Spicoli would say, "This place is awesome! Totally awesome!."

WOW, nice side stop. Cats were beautiful and well cared for. Used to people being around, so not nervous acting. Best of all, they acted happy in their surroundings, weren't pacing like the big cats at the zoo. Glad we stopped.
