Small, understated signs confusing at first when spotted off parkway. Appears to be an extension of Great Cats park but what sits at the end of the narrow gravel road had so much more than what was expected. You park outside the fence and honk your car horn. One of the owners, Bonnie and Bill will come out and greet you. For $8, you get a tour of the entire property by one of the owners who built this preservation center/rescue from the ground up. It is immediately apparent how huge their hearts are and how much they believe in their mission, to advocate for and rescue exotic animals in need. They have been doing it for 30+ years and care for each and every animal as if they are their own children. They sacrifice their time, energy and money for the sake of the animals which is easily apparent. There are several different tigers including a 650 lb one, 3 lions, several other exotic cats, a jaguar, camels, a kangaroo, lemur, horses, goats, wolves, Savannahs. We got a private tour which lasted a bit over an hour but we could have easily stayed longer if we weren't in a bit of a rush. Though unable to come into direct contact with the large cats, you are able to pet and spend quality time with all of the others. You are also very close to the tigers during certain points of the tour. They really take the time to answer any questions you may have, inform you of the history of each animal and are 2 of the most incredible people I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Their genuine desire to help animals in need is admirable and they deserve an award! Please visit their property. You will not be disappointed and they will definitely use every dollar they make to care for the several incredible animals they have. If you have the ability to donate and are an animal lover who wants to contribute, definitely consider the Tiger Preservation Society! They work day and night to care for these animals and operate on limited funding. I feel like this review is gonna come off as biased but it is 100% true and accurate. I just want to help these heroic human beings.
