Four of us went to Utah skiing for five days and were looking to ski as much as possible yet save on lodging expenses which are high at the ski resorts, without skimping on the accommodations. We found it all here...very close to the slopes, less then 30 minutes to Brighton and Snowbird, great views of the Rockies, a vast assortment of places to eat breakfast and dinner in the Salt Lake area and plush accommodations at the Marriott. Good eats, great rooms, great service, great pool and the hot tub hit the spot for the weary muscles. When we ski the Salt Lake area again we will stay here again.

Room Tip: Just ask; when booking and when checking in.

I selected this hotel due to its proximity to University of Utah campus for a business trip, and was very satisfied. The room was clean and updated, baths above average, and work desk with all outlets and WiFi. My location was just above the reception floor, with a very easy side exit to the parking lot. The view was east toward the mountains and was very good. Several restaurants were located nearby that satisfied almost all levels from fast food, to great sit-down meals. I went to the city center for my meals, and had several enjoyable side trips also. The business center is a unique arrangement, open style near the elevators, and works well. I had to make a few printouts quickly, no problem.

If you would like a little fun > I can highly recommend the bobsled run at the Olympic Park (watch out for the Omega turn!) and museum in Park City and the tour of the Park also. My 4-man bobsled driver, Pat, was a great source of information and history. Make sure to ask for him. Thanks again Pat for a very memorable visit to Olympic Park!

Room Tip: get a good view, ask for updated room, not too near the elevators

It was okay, not as nice as I would expect from a Marriott. The pool was being refilled and the fitness center had older equipment that wasn't very user friendly. The staff was friendly. I was there for a conference. If you are business seeking a conference location, this is a great choice.

Service was good and the room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have the pool stay open late for our evening arrival. The beds were very comfortable, but way too small for two grownups to be comfortable. The location has a beautiful night view.

A few strange things here...The elevator is glass sided so if you have trouble with hieghts it is probably not a good choice. The restaurant wasn't great but the Corner Bakery a block or two away is excellent. The Marriot charges $10 per day for internet in the room though it is free in the lobby and at the business center. Local calls also cost a lot. The pool was nice though the hot tub wasn't very hot. The beds were comfortable and the windows opened which is nice.

This hotel is about 15 minutes from the SLC airport. I checked in on a Sunday and the check in folks were polite and very welcoming. When I reached the room, I was surprised by the wonderful view from my 6th floor room. Be sure to get a room facing the street because the back side of hotel does not have a very nice view. The room was spacious and it was standard for the Marriott chain. I was very comfortable. They have a bar that I had a few drinks and appetizers. The bar tenders were friendly. The menu was somewhat overpriced, but being remote as the hotel was, I understood, but not the $9.00 grilled cheese. They also have a restaurant and a Starbucks that I did not purchase anything from. They have a shuttle that will take you within 2 miles of the hotel. They have several great restaurants to choose from in the area. It is very close to the University of Utah and the VA Medical Center. Both are within walking distance. Take an umbrella thought. It rained Sunday through Thursday. Besides the rain the area is very beautiful and it would have been nice to see it with some sunshine. All in all my stay was great. The staff was good and for what I paid, I felt that it was worth it. Their fitness was very nice with newer equipment. The pool and the hot tub was nice and very clean. Oh, one thing that is very important....They charge $10.00 for 24hrs of internet in your room Wi-Fi or LAN. However, you can get free reception in the lobby that is not the fastest in the world.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the front side of the buidling.
