“Inn on the Hill a topper in Salt Lake City”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

My wife and I stayed in the Snow Canyon Room at Salt Lake City's Inn on the Hill on the evenings of September 3rd and 4th of this year. It is a large room with a king bed and a bathroom with a jet tub up a short set of stairs in a spacious bathroom. The décor is tasteful Southwestern. Just outside the door is a deck with great views of Temple Square and downtown.
The staff is friendly and responsive and the cooks make terrific breakfasts.

As other have mentioned, the location is ideal. It is just a short walk to both the state capitol and Temple Square and the downtown.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The two rooms on the first floor on the south side of the Inn provide easy access to good views of t...

We absolutely loved staying at Inn on the Hill. Our two nights there were both spend in the Arches Room which featured the largest jetted tub in the establishment. It was probably our favorite amenity of the room. Since our wedding reception ended late, we didn't arrive at the Inn until the later hours of the night, but the staff was so kind to show us our room and everything available during our stay. Breakfasts were amazing and the atmosphere felt so relaxing. We are certainly planning to return on our anniversary!

I have stayed here twice now, and both of my stays were fantastic. This most recent stay was in the Saltair Room, which is so pretty. We loved the big jetted tub and the fireplace. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, the best place to stay in SLC, especially for couples. Definitely will come back!

Our stay at the Inn on the Hill was a wonderful experience.
The obvious perk of this B&B is it's location: just a short walk to Temple Square and all the major sites - the Inn being a site all in itself. What a gorgeous building, inside and out! It's like going back in time 100 years. The rooms reflect this in decor but not in amenities. There's TV, AC, free wifi and a fire place.
The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Due to a 10 hour train delay we didn't arrive until the morning after the first night we'd booked - they didn't charge us for the night we missed but did save us the gourmet breakfast.
And if you're still craving a snack after that breakfast: there's plenty of complimentary snacks and drinks to choose from.
Going to Salt Lake City? Stay at the Inn!

My wife and I recently made a road trip (senior citizen style) through the west. Of the six places we stayed, this was undoubtedly the best. If there is a better place in Salt Lake City, I couldn't imagine it. I rarely go to the same area twice, but if I were in the Valley ever again, this is where I would go.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in the Wasatch Mountain room (9/9 and 9/10). We see now why this property is ranked #1 in Salt Lake City. As a matter of fact, it is the best B. and B. we have ever stayed in, and we stay in them a lot.
The Inn is spectacular - perched on a hill overlooking the city, but only a five-minute walk to Temple Square. Our room has a large balcony with a great view of downtown Salt Lake, the mountains, and the West Valley. It is even more spectacular at night with the Temple lit up.
The Inn itself is a gem; we "toured" all of the other rooms, and they are all beautiful.
Breakfast was outstanding - served at a time of your choosing. There is always coffee or tea available, homemade cookies, and a well-stocked refrigerator with water and soft-drinks on each floor. There is also a basket of snacks available on each floor. All are complimentary.
The hosts all go out of their way to help you, from directions and recommendations to printing boarding passes.
Should we ever visit Salt lake City again, The Inn on the Hill will be our residence.
Don't even consider another place. This one has it all.

A terrific place in all ways, esp. the price. It's cheaper than a mid-range hotel, and MUCH better. Great and attentive service, great location, great property. This is where I stay whenever I visit SLC.
