A very convenient location in the centre of town, for a short overnight stay, with adequate restaurants and a large shopping complex nearby.
A good sized comfortable room with good pillows.
The staff were very helpful at the front desk with good information which made our short stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the street have a great outlook and are warmed by the sun. Road noise is only a brief problem.

Dear KiwiPaddyH,
Thank you for your comments. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your short stay with us here at the Plaza. Our centralized downtown location makes it perfect for a short night stay because there is so much to do and see all within walking distance!
Our beds and pillows are some of the best in town, and we are also happy to announce that we will be finishing the rest of our guest room remodel this year! Brand new, updated, modern rooms, with the same comfort and convenience that our guests have come to know.
Next time you're in town, we'd love to see you again and get your input on our new rooms!
See you then!

Kind Regards,
Nicole Larrabee

This location was perfect for our stay in SLC. You can walk to two major shopping centers and it's right next to the Temple Square grounds. Parking is $5 per day but that's so reasonable for a downtown location. Plus you walk directly from the parking garage into the hotel.

There is a Trax light rail station is right outside the front door if you want local transportation or come from the airport - and it's free in the designated downtown area. Can't beat that.

Both the check in and check out personnel were so nice and friendly - seemed really glad that we chose to stay at "their" hotel. Plus every time we walked by the desk, the personnel greeted us.

Our room was on the top floor with a great view - beds were very comfortable. It was a very quiet floor even with the hotel being full. The bathroom was a bit cramped and counter space at a premium but quite do-able but the location and price more than make up for it.

When we travel to SLC again, I doubt that we could find a better place to be.

Thanks Plaza!

Room Tip: Our top floor room was perfect for the view. Rooms on the north look away from downtown towards the mountains and State Capitol building. Rooms on the south overlook the busy street/light rail but look over downtown towards the south end of the SLC valley.

My husband and I spent a couple of nights in Salt Lake City in August. We found this hotel by using Tripadvisor and couldn't have been happier. We met a very nice young man and woman at the front desk, who wanted to know where we were from and why were visiting Salt Lake City. They gave us a map of the city, and showed us 4-5 restaurants to try and things that we should do while in their city. After that, they surprised us by upgrading us to the Penthouse Suite! It was beautiful with a gorgeous view. We were right next door to Temple Square and walked everywhere, so the location was fantastic! Thank you Plaza hotel for making our short visit so sweet, and thank you Tripadvisor for giving us the opportunity to read what viewers have to say in order to pick the best hotel for us!

The location is superb, being right at the Temple Square and very well connected by public transport too. Many worth-seeing places and shopping and eating joints are within walk-able distance. Upper floors have good views.

Dear ashisdutta,
Thank you for your comments. You are right that our location is "superb"! Not to mention we have a very knowledgeable front desk and bell staff who can point you in the right direction of any activity or restaurant your heart desires!
I like to think we have some of the best views of the valley in town. Our south facing rooms gives an excellent view of the entire Salt Lake valley, while our north facing rooms have a stunning view of the mountains and Utah State capitol building.
We hope to see you next time you are in town!

This hotel was right next door to the Family History Library and across the street from Temple square where the Mormon Tabernacle & Mormon Temple are located. This trip was with a group of people a genealogy search at the Family History library there were 31 people in our group & the hotel was great accommodating all of us.

Room Tip: I had a corner room which was large and quiet. I understand that the floors from the 10 th floor & up & be remodeled, I was on the 9th floor and had no complaints.

Dear Pamela L,
Thank you for your comments. It's always great to hear from our genealogy guests. It makes it so convenient that we are located just steps away from the one of the largest genealogical libraries, because it gives you that much more time to be able to search for those ancestors!
You are right that our rooms 10th floor and above have been recently remodeled! I am also happy to say, that starting in April, they will begin the second stage of our remodel!
As always, we appreciate you and your kind words about our hotel. We hope to see you next time you and your group make their way to SLC!
