My partner and I, frequent travelers, don't often find a hotel that beats expectations. From the outside it's nothing special - your standard Garden Inn. But the service and clean, very comfortable, large modern suites make this hotel a pleasure. Quiet, efficient air con. Extremely nice shower and huge whirlpool tub. Very comfortable beds. I highly recommend this hotel for the business or vacation traveler who wants more than the perfunctory roof over the head. Complimentary Internet and parking too. I will not bother to stay anywhere else in Salt Lake City on future visits.

During my recent holiday in the US I spent 21 nights in hotels, and I came to strongly appreciate the Hilton Garden Inn chain. I stayed with them in total 4 times, and each of their hotels was new, nicely furnished, clean, and very comfortable. The HGI Salt Lake City Downtown was no exception. Rooms are spacious and the aircon is effective and not too noisy. The windows could also be opened to let in some fresh air. Although the hotel's name refers to "downtown", the actual centre of town (Temple Square) is almost half an hour by foot or 3 tram stops away. I found this to be the only negative point of this hotel. Breakfast with HGI is always excellent, with eggs, pancakes and french toast made to order, and do-it-yourself waffles. It's cheaper when you pre-book breakfast with your hotel stay. The free wifi is a definate plus. Starbucks and Denny's just around the corner if you need it.

I stayed at three Hilton Garden Inns on this trip. This was the third. They were all very consistent in terms of friendliness, comfort and cleanliness. There's a Japanese steak house next door. I didn't eat there but was told that it was good.

This hotel is what you would expect from the Hilton Garden Inn chain - nicely appointed rooms with a decent amount of space. Room service was pretty good.

I cannot believe how clean and impressive this hotel was! You cannot go wrong staying here; the only problem I can see is when you get home you will miss this place! I have 90 nights a year on average in hotels for my work and this is the cleanest. How do they keep the new smell? The bed was the most superior mattress I have ever slept on period. You will need one of these in your home. This hotel gets it, clean professional everything was perfect and I would swear I was the first person to walk in the room even the lobby felt and had a new smell. Thanks for doing such a great job; I can't wait to go back. The management has done there job and everyone loves this place that works there or you would not have the since of pride in the property when you walk in.

This hotel is beautiful and so very clean!!! The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. My room was large with 2 queen beds, a decent size desk, an arm chair and foot rest and a large screen tv. There is also a small kitchenette stand with a coffeemaker, fridge and microwave. They also offer free wireless internet in the room. There is a fitness center and a swimming pool available. I will stay here again when I'm in Salt Lake. By pass the other hotels and stay here!

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Salt Lake City overnight on our way back to Los Angeles from Wyoming. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the pillow was the best I have ever slept on. The only negative was the confusing breakfast menu. Overall a very nice hotel.
