The Park Cafe ALWAYS has a line of people outside waiting. The food is cheap, but delicious and served in copious amounts. If you want to fit in with the 'cool crowd', make sure you wear a slouchy beanie and cigarette pants.

It's nice to see firsthand a clean diner with big bright windows at the front of the building looking across from Liberty Park. I was greeted promptly and seated quickly for breakfast at 8:30 on Wednesday morning. For the first time ever while dining at a restaurant the menus were under the plexiglass. This was ingenious as diners alike no longer have to see ripped, torn, grungy menus, with everyone's greasy and dirty fingers all over them. Well done Park Café!

I ordered the shooter sandwich, which comes with a choice of meat (bacon, ham, sausage), which is too large pieces of wheat bread toasted with two eggs over easy in the middle along with the bacon (five large pieces) along with their signature Park Café potatoes. The food arrived with in 10 minutes after ordering and it was steaming hot. In addition the bathrooms were very clean!

I would definitely come back to the park café for another dining experience.

This is a very charming-looking place and the service is very friendly. But the menu, especially for vegetarians, is incredibly limited and basic. The food is well made but nothing dazzling. I understand there is usually a long wait, and there's no warm seating area to take the edge off in winter. I would recommend Ruth's Diner, Roots Cafe, or the Lazy Day Cafe above Park Cafe in a heartbeat--much more interesting menus, more space, and less waiting.

Saturday morning is crazy (of course! because of the great breakast they serve) But when the waitstaff puts your plate down and 1/3 of plate is hanging off the table ledge, you know the table is too small. However, having a too small table for 4, I still could not hear what my friend sitting across me was saying. And the tables were so crammed in, I felt like I was sharing my condiments with strangers. My advise - remove at least 2 tables from the center of room. Your guest would appreciate it and so would the waitstaff.
