Way up in the mountains, private secluded log cabin, you feel like you are the guest of the homeowner. The patio seating outback by the waterfall is so beautiful. I would go there just for the setting but the food is amazing. The chef puts together many healthy, fresh dishes that delight. I had the local trout with an asian twist. The bison is also very popular. For desert don't miss the apple, cheddar, oatmeal crisp with homemade ice cream. For starters hummus served with jalapeno cheese bread...who needs butter. Portions are perfect too.

Never thought I could actually enjoy my dinner this much. The food was fabulous! The flavors were wonderful and the service was considerate of a couple who rarely goes out and is too often disappointed by the restaurants that were highly recommended. Our waiter took his time in explaining how the food was prepared and the various flavors to choose from. Beginning with the lush wooded natural waterfall in the outdoor spacious patio continuing with the fresh and savory food and ending with a relaxed car drive home what more can you ask for in a restaurant?

We took my father here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was overall very good even though there was a wedding going on. Our table was on a side patio and we were the only table there and would have been easy to forget but Hannah, our waitress, was very attentive. We had the alpine nachos and they were a great appetizer. The homemade jalepeno hummas was also delicious. All of our dishes were good as was the dessert. The location was fabulous, we would return if we lived near by.

We have been here a couple of times and mainly come for the atmosphere. The location is beautiful and very cozy. The food is just not up to par.I paid $44.00 for a 16 oz T-bone steak and only about 8 oz was actually edible.Very fatty and poor quality. Not the first time.If you decide to eat here I would suggest eating somewhere else first then going to the Log Haven for dessert or wine. The back patio is gorgeous

We visited the Log Haven on Mothers day - it is located several miles up a canyon east of Salt Lake - so incredibly beautiful - We sat outside in the late afternoon - the service was exceptional and the food was perfectly prepared - they had a fixed menu which was only slightly disappointing since we wanted to try their Bison steak - but it wasn't available. The pork chops and trout were fabulous. We all tried different deserts and they were all exceptional. Great food, great location and fast, friendly service - definitely worth the trip.
