We enjoyed a very lovely dinner with friends at Bambara while visiting in Salt Lake City. Very tasty food served promptly and presented with style and a touch of flair. Bacon Wrapped Chicken and Black Kale and Asiago Ravioli went very well with a 2006 Brunello di Montalcino. The Silky Corn Bisque was also a big hit! A bit pricier than family dining, but the service, presentation and atmosphere made the evening totally worth the price of admission!

I love visiting Salt Lake City and staying at The Monaco, not least because of this beauty! The food is fantastic! Portion size not to big, which is a bonus! The menu is varied and just great! Ahi Tuna& Hamachi Poke is, well, just WOW! Also, this place does the best breakfast! The server cue is fantastic and the waiters and waitresses are very knowledgable! Also, the wine list is great! Cannot wait to come back!

Whether it be dining in the restaurant or through in-room service, the food is always delicious. I recommend the foie gras, bone marrow and steak cobb salad.

My husband and I went to Bambara for our anniversary this year, because several friends had recommended it. The food was absolutely spectacular - from appetizer to dessert. Pre-wine cocktails from their specialty cocktail list did not disappoint (I had an espresso martini that was outstanding!) The wine menu was a bit pricey, but they did have a couple of affordable bottles of Pinot Noir.
The restaurant itself was not quite what I was expecting, as it seemed a little "diner-esque". I realize it is a historic hotel and they make due with the space they have available, so I will say that it was not unpleasant but it was not romantic.
The service was precise, but dull. Our waiter had been with the restaurant for many years and it seemed to us like he was ready for a break. His recommendations were very rehearsed but his delivery was flat. He was not at all animated or interested in our questions or comments. It felt to us like he would rather be somewhere else then waiting on us. That being said, he did bring everything out correctly and cleared it quickly.
However, the food was so impressive, that even mediocre service could not keep us from going back again soon!

Memorial Day weekend was very slow in SLC, which was great for us as we were visiting for the weekend. Sunday Brunch here was incredible; flavors were high quality, coffee is great, and the portions are just right. 10/10 would do again!
