I ordered the avocado on toast topped with crab and it was good only a very small portion. I did order a small plate though. We also got just a couple of eggs with potatoes and toast but the toast never came with the food we had to ask for it 2 times and by the time we got it, the rest of the food was gone. It arrived with no butter or Jam. We had to ask for butter and jam, only one was brought we had to ask again. I should say it was Mother's Day and they were starting to get busy but when we arrived very few people were there

Both the service and the food were great. The restaurant has very nice and funky ambiance, with the food prep on view. The blue cheese chips are to die for, and we all loved our entrees too. The wine list is very good. When I come to a place like this I think "you get what you pay for" meaning it is pricey but it is well worth it.

Beautiful building. Delicious bread and tomato marmalade served with tasteless baked bone marrow. Ravioli was higgledy-piggledy presented. Neither pleasing to the eye nor to the palate. Ultra spicy gnocchi with dried chicken topped with unpleasant scrambled brussels sprouts. I had a higher expectation for this well rated restaurant.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Bambara while staying in SLC. Our server was Cal and he did a wonderful job for us – very attentive and pleasant. The food was very good – upscale dining and a wonderful wine selection. We had the crab stuffed Piquillo peppers as an appetizer. They should have been a bit warmer – they were really room temp – but the flavor was terrific. For our entrees we had the Duck Confit Carbanaro pasta dish (tagliatelle, pancetta, mushrooms, egg and pomegranate seeds) and the Beef Filet (duck fat roasted fingerlings, leek puree, mushrooms and black truffle sauce). Both were well prepared and beautifully presented.
We would recommend this for visitors or locals as a place for dinners – special occasion or just a great night out.
