Stayed at the Marriott City Creek and found my way over to Caffe Molise for lunch. VERY pleasant dining experience with fine food, nice staff and perfect location. Great price, nice atmosphere and just an all around nice and worthy of your effort restaurant. You won't regret it and you won't leave broke....

We went to Caffe Molise for a dinner with friends, and we were really disappointed in the experience. There was a strong stale odor in the restaurant when we arrived, similar to what we have smelled at The Spaghetti Factory- where it just seems like the place needs a thorough cleaning.

Prices have increased since we were last there, and we averaged approx $46 pp, despite having only one round of wine by the glass and sharing an appetizer among 7 of us. The food quality was average. Service was above average, friendly, but when the check arrived- they had put a tip into the total, but the way the ticket was printed it was very confusing. We nearly tipped twice by accident.

We have been to Caffe Molise several times, and chose to go based on positive previous experiences. However, now it is clearly overpriced for what you get, food quality has gone down, and we will probably not go back.

On business from out of town, I planned to eat here based on TA reviews. Cafe Molise did not disappoint me whatsoever. It was busy at lunch but fortunatnely got a table up front and got to watch people walk bye through the big windows on 100 S. The lunch menu is diverse and exceptionally authenthic. Check it out: http://www.caffemolise.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Lunch_7_28_2010.pdf

I ordered the Polenta Con Funghi with a side salad. The salad contained a bunch of tender greens accompanied by a wonderful house Italian dressing. The polenta was made in a black skillet which arrived steaming jot. It was broken down in 3 to 4 large wedges with Mushrooms, onions, garlic and Gorgonzola and had a great tomato sauce and boy was scrumptious!

The chairs were confortable, the lighting bright, and the service was prompt and friendly. Last but not least the restrooms were clean. I did not have any dessert, as I was seriously stuffed from a wonderful polenta dish! Highly recommend Cafe Molise!

Service was fantastic. Unfortunately the food was not so good. Bruscetta was decent but not fantastic. the bread was stale. i made the mistake of getting shrimp on my pasta, and it was very rubbery and extremely salty (so bad i couldnt eat it). I would not recommend this place.

The returant is very quaint. It is small with interesting artwork. The service was good but a little cold. The food was good, but not outstanding. It is a little overpriced for the atmosphere and food.
