“Maybe the deserts are better?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2013

While visiting SLC, we stopped in because it looked cool from the outside and had good reviews and we hadn't eaten at a Belgian place before. We were a little disappointed with what we ordered, though. Actually, we regretted ordering it and wished we'd gone somewhere else. Though, I will say we only ordered savory items (fries style things) and didn't try the sweet waffle dishes.

We ordered the machine gun sandwich and the stew. Neither were bad, but neither were really good either. Nor was it cheap.

It had a very limited menu, and even from this they were out of at least one item.

I would not go back again for savory food, though, I might try the waffles? They looked good? If you want something sweet...

“The Machine gun sandwich rocks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

Might be the best hangover food ever. It is just as good not hungover, but to have that option for breakfast at 10:30 on a Saturday is outstanding. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is they are not open on Sunday

“Had a 1/2#pork patty w/frites... Enough for 2 meals!”

Great place for some interesting waffles. Pork patty was HUGE! Definitely coming back next time we're in SLC. Added bonus: adjacent to Patagonia Outlet.

“Great little place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013 via mobile

Needed a quick bite on the way out of town, so we tried this place and so glad we did. We tried cinnamon waffle with strawberries, vanilla waffles with bananas and one with Belgium chocolate sauce. Waffles were $3.50 and toppings ranged from $1 - $2. This place is really small with a small counter with 4 chairs inside. We ate at one of the outside tables. Great little place.

“Authentic Liege waffles!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2013

My husband lived in Belgium for almost 2 years and loved the liege waffles found on every corner. We stumbled across Bruges a few years ago and make sure anytime anyone is in the area of this great place, we/they stop and get Liege waffles (we encourage our friends when they stop to grab us some as well since we live about an hour away). Highly recommend their frites as well (all authentic!)
