Description: Eva is dedicated to and named after chef Charlie Perry's great grandmother. Eva Coombs passed on her respect for quality ingredients, an emphasis on the nourishing benefits of food and most importantly, the shared pleasure of eating. At Eva, our tapas style dining promotes a communal sense of enjoyment. We have an extensive and varied small plates menu, craft cocktails and hand picked wine list.

We were visiting for vacation and enjoyed a light dinner with the kids. Each dish we tried was delicious!

Late night eats in most cities are recycled fast food in 24 hour diners that appeal to the lowest common denominator. That is not the case with Eva, a fun, quick, friendly, high quality restaurant that delivers a quick quality meal all day long but is open extra late for the night crowd. Most places change their attitude at 1130pm if the closing sign says Midnight. This isn't the case with Eva, a third choice, we stumbled into after receiving icy receptions from hosts and servers at two neighboring restaurants in the same block. The tapas style portions are just enough for a late night snack and the gourmet quality doesn't stop when the day runs long. The servers are all kind, compassionate and have a sense of humor and work together as a team. The prices are solid and the atmosphere is brimming with class. This is a must check out any time of the day!

I wouldn't necessarily call the food tapas. To me that indicates Spanish. This restaurant is more small plates from mac and cheese to spanakopita to crab cakes. There is enough on the menu to keep everyone in the group satisfied, from vegetarians to carnivores. You don't order an entree, per se, but rather choose several "appetizers", some bigger than others.

I love this style of eating, because you are able to taste a variety of flavors and dishes without getting overly stuffed. If you're still hungry, order a couple of more. It seems like 4-5 is a perfect amount for two people. The beer and wine selection is good also. I love it when restaurants carry good local brews made right here in Utah.

The atmosphere is intimate, clean, and modern. The wait staff is all young, beautiful, and hip and there is cool art work on the walls. The back patio is fantastic. I wish there were more spaces like this in Salt Lake. It reminded me of New York or something.

The times I have been there, the service is quick and very nice. The bill at the end is always very reasonable and makes me want to go back again. To me, the spot is between 4 and 5 stars because the food is just great but doesn't necessarily knock my socks off. But I love the vibe, location, and it definitely earns high marks for excellent value.

The food here was fantastic. Love the asparagus with poached egg. The drinks are great also. We were able to try several things on the menu and loved them all. If using public transportation the light rail stops right beside of the restaurant. So very convenient.

Just moved to Salt Lake City from a culinary epicenter (Portland, OR) and was quite pleased with this restaurant. The food stands up to the hip atmosphere as do the cocktails. Spanikopita, pork chop, steak au poivre, cauliflower, beets, lamb chop, daily risotto, and a great salad were the dishes we ordered to split between 4 people and not one dish was disliked by any of our party.
The only unfortunate thing about this restaurant is the acoustics. It was very loud inside and hard to talk at a small table of 4 people. The patio outside looks amazing if you are lucky enough to sit out there.
