The Copper Onion was a cute boutiquish type of restaurant. We sat outside under their orangish/tangerine colored awnings. It was a bit of an American Bistro meeting hits and highlights of Europe. I appreciated their charcuterie board, their hand made pastas and cucumber flavored water. They have a variety of cheeses from around the world such as France, Spain, the USA, and Italy. They make their own pasta! I tried the cacio e peppe, which was fettucine with scallions and black pepper. For some reason, I was thinking of fettucine alfredo when I ordered it and was disappointed that I received a pasta w/o alfredo sauce, my fault. It was good, but not my favorite. Next time I will try the carbonara or the wagyu beef stroganoff. Prices range from about $18 to $25 for a dish, which is quite expensive for the Utahans. The service is attentive, the ambience is fantastic, especially on a crisp sparkling night and the space is intimate and even romantic! Great place for a date or for catching up with friends. Close to the Green Pig for a nightcap on their rooftop patio. Didn't have time for desserts, the the server enchanted us with a carrot cake and some kind of brownie. Next time! Loved the cute pig statue on the way out!
