The tour is free and was worth the visit to see how the heads of the LDS lived in the late 1800's.
The woodwork and decor was outstanding and Young and his son were obviously good craftsmen.
Like the visit to other LDS sites you wonder how the Mormons achieved this level of affluence when you consider the hardship they must have gone through on the "trail" across the country. They were supposed to have been so poor that they could only afford a hand cart to do the journey. The guides had very little knowledge on the past history but did the usual thing of wanting you to join the LDS.
