Owner description: Seat of state government and striking architectural landmark.

My visit was during weekend, so no office workers and the building's offices were closed. The main areas were open and you could walk in freely, take pictures and enjoy the architecture, art work. Beautiful building.

Maybe next time I plan my visit during the week, I can see inside some office, maybe sit in a session or see if they have an organized tour.

Lucky enough in this day and age to visit a State Capitol.
A lovely building inside and out and just spend a moment outside viewing Salt Lake City. Really enjoyed it.

The building is modeled after the US Capitol, and is very impressive when standing next to it. Just a few block walk from downtown, it offers some amazing views of the city, mountains, and valley. we went after closing so didn't go inside, but the views at sunset were spectacular. Consider walking there along the path just East of State Street which goes through Memorial Park just down the hill from the Capitol to the East.

Took the tour of this Capital building and was pleasantly surprised. I had a few hours to spare before a flight and always enjoy taking tours of state capital buildings. This building is of course very similar in design of the US Capital (smaller scale of course) and was worth spending the time to tour.

easy to park, cool inside. Informative and educational in a gentle way. Impressive architecture and decor. Fantastic views over the city.
