We stayed here during a small conference and found it to be the perfect hotel. We had excellent service from all the staff and a lovely room with all the Kimpton touches. There is a truly wonderful restaurant with wide variety of choices at all times of the day. The food is superb. Room service was also good, but we needed to get some things corrected or they were forgotten. Everyone was very accommodating about the mistakes. The location could not have been better. Within walking distance of The Temple Square, good shopping, and a light rail system that can take you all over - including the airport. Good restaurants close by. Basically one can always trust a Kimpton Hotel to be like a home away from home with comfort and a staff ready to handle any of your needs.

Room Tip: corner rooms are very nice but some look out on other buildings so there is no view to speak of with...

This hotel was located steps from the Mormon Temple and downtown SLC,, An easy ride from the airport by public transportation. The staff was excellent and friendly, The room was comfortable and spotless. A great benefit is the free wine and cheese event evey afternoon. My only complaint was the resort fee that many hotels charge for services that most people do not use..let's face it just add it to the room rate and people would not complain..A great place

Room Tip: We asked for an upgrade and they accomadet us

I stayed here for business in November. Hotel Monaco SLC follows the standard Kimpton model - renovate architecturally interesting old building (in this case an old bank), have top-notch services and hospitality, and be in a great location. The hotel is in easy walking distance to all of SLC's attractions, shopping, and great restaurants. The in-house restaurant, Bombara, is fantastic as well.

Negatives - rooms are small, although if you get a room on an upper floor the views are great. Valet parking is $19/day which is pretty standard for a city, although there is a public lot adjacent to the hotel.

Good experience, I would definitely stay here again.

Good service, a comfy room, easy Internet access. a greal location (with a delicious German deli across the street), plus a yoga mat waiting for you in your room. What's not to like? I was here (in fact, still am here) on a business trip. Had a function downstairs in the Vault with food from the hotel's restaurant, Bambara. The event was well organized and efficient and the appetizers were all yummy. The health club is not huge but is well appointed. Plus a happy hour I had to miss (due to the function I went to) that looked great. Overall, just what I'm looking for in a business hotel.

Only minor complaint (but it happens) is there is a dumpster or something outside my 10th floor room. Awakened at 6AM by load truck banging. But... it's a city....

Room Tip: I'll be rooms on the other side are quieter.

Stayed 5 nights & everything was GREAT!!! From the valet parking attendants to the front desk, housekeeping, porters & Kirsten in catering, everyone gives 110% to make you feel welcome. It was easy to find & really nice to walk around downtown. The TRAX has 2 stops within 1 block each direction, a Starbucks just down the street as well as the mall. You will NOT be disappointed.

This is a hotel to come back to. It was a special occasion and the perfect quick getaway from home for a night. There was something about the bed that makes you never want to get up in the morning. All the employees really take personal note of you and your circumstances, which really stands out. I believe it was Katie that helped us out at check-in and took extra good care of us. Location is awesome for anything in downtown SLC. Room was immaculately clean and quiet.

Go down stairs for a meal at the restaurant "Bambara" at least one time while you are at the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Get a corner room on higher level if possible.

Stayed here for our anniversary in June (I'm a bit late reviewing) The employees were all very nice and they gave us a great room for the special occasion. I understand that some of the rooms are rather small, but our corner room was just wonderful.. We didn't eat at the restaurant because we had other plans. We did go to the manager's reception- a very nice touch, but the nibbles were not great. This hotel has a perfect location for downtown SLC.
