“You can float”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2005

It is very empty. A lot of the lake has eroded. Honestly, it was a little creepy. You see lots of bugs. I mean killer flies, just kidding. But huge flies, that make that scary noise. You see swarms of brine flies, and they are completely harmless but they are so tiny, and there are so many of them that you see them swarm away from you. There are millions of brine shrimp in the lake, I mean billions. They are the only creatures in that lake. You walk in...keep walking until its a decent height ..lay back..and you float. Really you float, its pretty amazing. The pictures come out really cool as well. However, don't walk up closer to shore, and try to float, you will but the brine shrimp really stick to you. It was definitely a fun adventure, and scary with their insects. As we walked into the gift shop, we saw huge spiders, in their web, but they were huge! It was really cool, but I don' mean to scare you, because it wasn't that bad. The area is really dead, and not many people were in the lake besides us. No one got injuries from the bugs, they were just scary looking. It is something people should go in and see, especially if you can't float in a pool, you will definitely float in the great salt lake.
