“Peaceful and a learning experience”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

We didn't spend long here as we needed to get to our B&B out of town but I was very glad we stopped. We managed to find a car park nearby that was part of a hotel (I forget which but if you read some other reviews you will find some good advice on where to park). We then walked to Temple Square and looked at the different buildings, some of which you are allowed inside and some you aren't. We overheard a few snatches of a tour, where a member of the church was explaining aspects of the religion to tourists, but we didn't have a chance to hear the whole thing. It was a shame as it sounded really interesting.

“Temple Square is an island of peace and quiet”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Temple square is especially beautiful in the spring, with a luxurious planting of its flower beds. They are carefully tended and the spring flowers are replaced every few weeks to keep everything fresh. Between Thanksgiving and New Years Day, the square is alight with thousands of Christmas tree lights in the trees.

It is decorated with elaborate Christmas lights during the winter season and can be fun to walk around during the rest of the year. Owned by the Morman church it is a very well kept area of downtown salt lake city

We make a point every year to visit Temple Square at least once during the Christmas season. The lights and decorations are amazing. Fun family activity!
