“Comfortable setting”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

I grew up in PA. Now with kids, hard to all squeeze into Grandma's house anymore, so sometimes we have to stay in a hotel. We used to stay in the Red Lion, but it was so run down (view pretty).

My sister stayed in the Olympic Lodge and mentioned it was nice. So, we stayed for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I was quite surprised how cute it is! The lobby feels...well, like a lodge! The front desk help was friendly. Both times while seeing cars in the parking lot, not seeing much people in the hotel.

The beds were very comfortable, has black out curtains, AC was a great white noise, so myself, husband, and 2 kids slept great!

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel...we prefer Chestnut Cottage in town.

In December we accidentally left my son's stuffed animal. I panicked when we realized it, called at night and the gal said they'd have to ask housekeeping in the morning. In the morning they did call me right back and said they had it and it was cute, offered to send it to me. I instead had my mom go pick it up. We also forgot the kids shampoo, and they also had that set aside. They could have thrown this all away, it was very appreciative!

This is our new place for when we come to the area!

Room Tip: Slept great!

Stayed 1 night on a trip around the Olympic Peninsula. The hotel does not look much from the outside, but the interior is delightful. A nicely appointed lounge with a fireplace and nice chairs and chesterfields. The room were spacious and well looked after. Bed was very comfortable. Fridge, coffee maker and microwave neatly hidden in an armoire. Front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful but I must single out 'Jessie' for his really attentive service. A definate stay on future trips in that area.

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the golf course at the rear of the hotel, though all rooms are quite a...

My wife and I spent one night here prior to boarding the ferry to Victoria. The check in process went very smoothly and the front desk staff were very helpful. We did not use the pool, but the lobby, with it's stone fireplace, was very inviting. The breakfast service was good and view of the golf course a pleasant way to start the day. Overall, should we come to Port Angeles again, we would choose to stay here.

Stayed two nights in September. Very pleasant staff. The room was clean and very spacious. The hotel was full but extremely quiet! Not a peep or a squeak was to be heard from above or beside us which was very nice. The internet worked well. It would have been nice to have a bathroom fan, but that's a minor issue. My only big complaint is that while breakfast was tasty, it was totally overpriced. Otherwise, a great stay. Would recommend, just have breakfast elsewhere.

Room Tip: Avoid overpriced breakfast.

Port Angeles was the last stop during a week long vacation in the state of Washington for my wife and I. We arrived into town around 1:00 pm and did not want to leave our luggage in our rental car while we visited the nearby Hurricane Ridge area of Olympic National Park. We stopped by the Olympic Lodge to ask what the earliest time was that we could check in. They young lady at the front desk stated, "No problem. We can check you in right now."

This was the nicest hotel we stayed in all week. Beautiful lobby with a fire burning in the firplace, spacious guest rooms, and an excellent breakfast room. Be sure to take a moment to see all the large framed landscape photos taken of scenic areas of Oympic National Park that are hanging on the walls around the lobby and breakfast room.

All aspects of our stay at the Olympic Lodge were much better than we were expecting. Everything was done right. Very pleasant experience.

Good service at the front desk, clean and well appointed, large comfortable rooms made this one of our favorite places to stay on our two week trip through Washington. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the rooms quite, making for a great nights sleep. There was also a great view of the harbor from our window.

I had a satisfactory stay here. The location in is central and convenient when visiting Olympic National Park. The lobby is good-looking with wood paneled walls and decorated with nature photography from around the Olympic Peninsula. The front desk staff was friendly enough. The rooms were average and clean, and I found the beds comfortable. The hotel offers free WiFi, which is a rare perk these days. I had only two complains: 1) housekeeping did a mediocre job making up my room and 2) the breakfast dining was overpriced and boring.
