“Can't wait to go again!”

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay at the GW Inn. Dan and Janet went out of their way to make us feel at home. They served us with true servant's hearts. The food was exquisite, the facilities superb, the relaxation was peaceful, the grounds were immaculate, and the hospitality delightful.

You will not regret visiting this beautiful B and B. The historical aspects of George Washington's life were an added bonus. We are already looking forward to our next visit. It can't come soon enough.

To see a duplicate of Mount Vernon on the west coast was a surprise. To enter into another century dedicated to the Father of our Country was a treasure to behold. Dan and Janet have created the perfect retreat in Port Angeles, WA. Sitting above the San Juan de Fuca Sound this jewel of a B&B promotes quiet solitude, relaxation, and peace to the spirit. The rooms are elegantly appointed with views either overlooking the gardens or the ocean. Janet's breakfasts are always delicious and recipes happily shared. Before you leave your tour of Washington State, make sure you stop by the George Washington Inn in Port Angeles...a place George and Martha would be proud to call home.

My partner and I are seasoned travellers and frequently stay in bed and breakfasts and small inns but only in the 4.5/5 star category. We were not disappointed in the George Washington Inn. Stayed for 2 nights in the first week of July and had an all around terrific experience. Location is easily accessible to everything there is to see in the Port Angeles area and is on the water with incredible views. Property is picture-book gorgeous and the Presidential Suite was perfect. Breakfasts were abundant, tasty and beautifully presented. Really, couldn't have asked for anything more. Would also highly recommend the little Wine Bar on the waterfront in Port Angeles right near the ferry terminal.

Our family were the first guests to stay at the recently renovated carriage house. It was a perfect layout. Upscale family lodging is a bit tough to find in the Port Angeles area and we felt we got exactly what we were looking for. The place was very clean; beds were comfortable; views were excellent.

There's a TV with a DVD player, but cable/satellite was not hooked up. A few channels after a long day of hiking would have been great.

The location of this inn cannot be topped. Situated between the Strait (right on the bluff in fact) and the Olympic Mountains, it provides a short ride to Port Angeles and a fine base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. The keepers are easy going and politely interested in their guests, and are prepared to be of assistance with directions or itinerary suggestions. The elegance of the inn mixes well with the relaxed atmosphere in the common areas. Breakfast is not to be missed, served in the back dining room facing the bluff, neither is the jacuzzi tub in the room. It is well worth the stay if you plan on visiting the area for a few days and want to make the experience something special.

As an author, I enjoy staying at historic inns and unusual places. The George Washington Inn, while new, is an amazing re-creation of Mt. Vernon with a library full of wonderful historical books and videos Our room was luxurious, with views of both water and mountains and the breakfasts were fabulous. My husband and I even had a picnic supper in the lavender garden as the sun was setting. Heavenly! While this was a working vacation for me, I found endless inspiration and rest in this utterly lovely, elegant place. The innkeepers, Janet and Dan, are the epitome of hospitality. I can't say enough about them or their wonderful inn! Looking forward to visiting again!

I take my accommodations and itineraries very seriously so I researched our Olympic Peninsula trip thoroughly. I chose the George Washington Inn based on reviews, pictures, location and intuition. My intuition was correct and this was the perfect place for us. We stayed for 2 nights in the Presidential Suite, which was absolutely lovely. Based on the pictures, I'm sure the other rooms are wonderful, it just depends on how much time you plan to spend in your room. I loved the whirlpool air bath and the 4-poster bed. Dan and Janet were the perfect hosts with the right combination of attentiveness, conversation and discretion. Breakfasts in the covered porch were elegant, delicious and filling; The grounds are lovely; we enjoyed watching the ship traffic in the Strait of Juan De Fuca. We saw eagles and deer. There were several newborn fawns and also yearlings. The inn was situated perfectly for us between Sequim and Port Angeles. Thanks Dan & Janet for the perfect anniversary stay!
