Traveling through with afternoon visit to Hurricane Ridge, dinner at the Cafe Garden, overnight (reviewed) and the ferry to Victoria next day. Yes, the Garden is pretty, but the food was very fine, not at all what I would expect in Port Angeles. The real star is Betty, the owner/manager, whose food knowledge was way beyond the unexpected, and the menu showed it. I had a Seafood Tetrazzini, and others in my party hard other ambitious dishes.. One of us had a NY Steak, because a busy day had exhausted Betty's supply of filet. Cooked perfectly. Just a first-rate on-the-road experience. Don't miss it, a delight.
