We were stopping overnight in Port Angeles before catching a ferry to Victoria so I went to Trip Advisor to find a good place to eat. Mention of a seafood pot pie in one of the reviews caught my eye so we went to Cafe Garden for dinner. We were not disappointed! The seafood pot pie was pure ambrosia ... flaky crust and wonderful filling. It really was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I'd happily go back to Port Angeles just to have this dinner again.

After getting off the ferry from Victoria we planned on this restaurant, and were not disappointed. My husband and I both ordered their seafood croissant which was delicious. The croissant was excellent quailty and a full portion, not stingy like some quality places. Their salad was good, the soup excellent, and the chocolate cake with berry ice cream delicious. We would love to return here again.
Our waitress was unusually good. Very professional, friendly, and checked back just the right amount.

We revisited Cafe Garden while touring the Olympic Peninsula on a day off from the Ring cycle at the Seattle Opera. The garden was in full bloom, and, although small, was filled with roses of all colors and deep smells. The food was solid, as on our last visit. Two ladies had a good crab and shrimp louis salad, which came with dressing on the side, and was low calorie, while I had one of their large and excellent burgers. We finished up with pretty good espresso. We had visited the Cafe a couple of years ago while touring with European friends and it was a delight to find it the same. Service was brisk and professional.

We had just flown in from the East Coast, and were about to settle for KFC, when our concierge told us about Cafe Garden. She sold us on the restaurant's "great seafood," and we were not disappointed! We tried the lamb as well, which was also excellent. Everything was top notch, well arranged, and superbly flavored. The staff was very professional but friendly, in a way that made us feel as if they were cooking just for us. The menu was also quite reasonable, but I wouldn't call it a "value." Just remember, you get what you pay for, and if "value" is what you're after, KFC is just down the road! You'll find us, however, at Cafe Garden.

The food was very good if a bit pricey for the area. The server made our dinner so wonderful! She was funny, knowledgeable and so very nice. She really took care of us and we appreciated it. The restaurant was not busy at all so we were a bit worried at first that we had picked a lousy restaurant, but it was great. Good seafood.
