“Spotless and Cute”

Such a cute cottage right in town! Peg left us raspberry scones on the counter that were delicious, anything you could possibly need was there! The bathroom was the cutest bathroom I've ever seen! Peg was so nice, friendly and helpful! Met Dennis once and he was very nice too and so was the neighbors cat :)...the cottage was spotless! We would definitely stay there again! :)

“Location is great, but...”

This house and location are fantastic for exploring the Olympic National Park. However, do not expect to get your security deposit back. The house rules are clear and concise but there are A LOT of them. It was hard to relax there the entire time for fear we were going to do something wrong. Not the greatest feeling when you are trying to vacation and let go. We were accused of taking a fork and we were charged $50 from the security deposit. One of the rules is no smoking on the property, but because we had e-cigarettes on the patio we were fined an additional $150 for extra cleaning...There was a mark on the wall and two scratches on the floor that we didnt cause because we were being so careful yet we were still fined. It honestly felt so good to come home.

Management Response
Jul 31, 2017
Yes, the House Rules are clear and concise and you agreed to them several times. To most guests they are common sense. You two smoked inside as well as outside (The rule is No smoking on the property) and damaged other items. We regret that this was not a good match for you as we highly value guest’s vacation time and do everything possible to ensure they have a pleasant stay.

“Comfortable, clean and convenient with every amenity”
Reviewed July 31, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We stayed for three nights at the Bike Cottage, a comfortable, convenient and perfectly appointed small house. We walked to restaurants, to the natural foods market and to the ferry for a day trip to Victoria. This is a great location for access to the Olympic National Park, another amazing day trip.

We cooked dinner “at home” one night and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. Bedroom, bathroom, living room – all could not have been more comfortable and attractive. The bike-themed décor is creative and fun.

Peg was very responsive and gave us a lot of helpful information, both ahead of time and in a binder filled with everything you'd want to know about the area. We liked everything about the Bike Cottage and would happily return.

“Home away from home”

I am so glad we decided to stay here instead of in a hotel. The thoughtful amenities, the quiet neighborhood, and the location made our vacation very enjoyable. When we first arrived it was a bit chilly so we started up the Keurig to make some coffee and then realized we had not stopped by the store to get creamer or sugar. We made a quick search and were pleasantly surprised by the stocked cupboard (sugar among other things), refrigerator (creamer among other things), and homemade blackberry scones on the counter. The bathroom had another surprise that was called the "In case you forgot" basket and was stocked with many items one might forget to pack but would need. That was not the best surprise in the bathroom, the craftsmanship on the sink and counter that were supported by a bicycle was amazing. The beautiful tile on the floor was also a visual treat. The bedroom had a comfortable king sized bed and soft pillows. We did a lot of hiking and the washer and dryer were a nice amenity. The living/dining space was comfortable and had a television and a collection of DVD's that we did not have time to watch. The location was uphill from the waterfront but easily walkable. This was a great starting point to either catch the ferry to Victoria, B.C. or explore Olympic National Park (or both). The cottage itself was in a quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic. Peg and Dennis, the owner's, were very friendly and helpful. Along with the homemade scones, they left us a nice bottle of Moscato for our anniversary. We would definitely stay here again if in the area and would highly recommend this home away from home. :)

The Bike Cottage is perfectly located for excursions into the Olympic National Park. It is very comfortable for two people. It was immaculate and included everything we needed (e.g., coffee, laundry detergent). In addition to the printed information in the cottage the owners, Peg and Dennis, were very helpful in making suggestions for exploring the area. We enjoyed getting to know them. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very clean and comfortable and close to good eating. Owners were very helpful and pleasant to work with and even had gluten free muffins awaiting us, along with frosted mugs and cold beer.
We also stayed at a chain hotel for one night in Port Angeles for the same price and it was horrible.
