“Homey, Waterfront cottage with convenient location”

Stayed here in 2014 and loved it then and loved it in 2017. Right on the waterfront cliff overlooking the water (Strait of JUAN de Fuca) between Port Angeles and Sequim. Jim has done a thoughtful job of providing the comforts of home.

“Wonderful Views”
Reviewed May 21, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cottage. Located between Port Angeles and Sequim, you can go to either city rather quickly. Homemade cookies sitting on the table when we arrived made us feel welcome (and full, the cookies were amazing)! You have a picture window to enjoy the view with binoculars sitting by the window so you can see anything you want. Saw many cruise ships and even a submarine. The wildlife was amazing as well... saw a hawk, many seagulls and even a bald eagle. Would have loved to stay longer than two days as it was the highlight of the trip.

“Lovely, Serene and Quiet Cottage”

Located on a bluff facing the Straits of Juan de Fuca, this two bedroom cottage provides the perfect getaway. Fully furnished, with plenty of kitchen tools and accessories, a couple or small family can rest, feast and relax on their own schedule. Great views of the water, and, at night, the relentless waves crashing against the bluff, provided a soothing atmosphere. Wildlife are abundant; evening strolls led to numerous encounters with deer and birds. Downtown Port Angeles is only minutes away; dining, bars and general shopping opportunities exist everywhere (remember this is a seaport, so there is a heavy emphasis on seafood, of all varieties). We highly recommend this cottage.

“Beautiful home with fantastic relaxing water views.”

After a stressful long drive, we pulled up to this unassuming ranch home in a quiet neighborhood. Once we stepped into the living room with the huge picture window framing a fabulous view of the water, all worries melted away. My favorite spot was the soft leather chair beside this window, with binoculars in hand, watching the birds and the ships go by - breathtaking views! Both of the bedrooms have the same views too! This house was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. Having a washer and dryer there was an extra bonus for us. We did not realize when we rented that there was a smaller attached rental, separated by a breezeway and fence, but we only saw the other people one time in the back yard, using binoculars like us! This home's location was very convenient to the town of Port Angeles, and to the Olympic National Park where we spent every day enjoying the outdoor beauty of Washington state.

“Lovely vacation home”

Jim did an amazing job updating and remodeling this ranch home. It's been perfectly furnished. The beds are supportive and have comfortable sheets and blankets. We slept well in the quiet neighborhood and woke to the sounds of gulls on the Strait.

The kitchen was great to cook in. Everything from nice wine glasses to a rice cooker. Check out the cupboards and frig before hitting Safeway. There's quite a few staples left from previous renters.

We generally packed lunches for hiking and ate dinners at the house. Our lunch at Little Devil's Lunchbox is worth mentioning though. It's outstanding Mexican food.

Just to you're not surprised or worried when you arrive, this is a duplex. The connecting wall is only about 8 feet and behind the cabinetry in the dining room. There were renters in the other half, but noise was never an issue.

This rental has everything you need. It is well equipped, clean, private, safe and provides great views of the straight after your daily adventures. Once here, the value of binoculars in every room becomes apparent.

“House with an incredible view”

Spent two night here while taking in the incredible scenery of the Olympic Peninsula. View from the rooms of the Strait of Juan De Fuca was breathtaking, though we saw no whales. Enjoyed identifying the birds and ships going by. House was very well equipped and there were excellent restaurants nearby--Alder Wood Cafe in Sequin was exceptional
