“A must visit for kids or marine life fans.”
Reviewed December 3, 2009

This is a small place, not fancy, but kids will love it. Lots of touch tanks, some sand boxes and really nice and helpful volunteers. If you aren't familiar with the marine life that lives in the area, you will be suprised at what we have in our cold waters. I don't have children, but I have brought my niece here, and my husband and I have gone several times just to check out what's new. Glad we have it in our community. FREE.

“Tide pool heaven”
Reviewed November 1, 2009

If you love marine biology and the tough little life forms that live in tidepools, then this is heaven. If not I don't know what to say. It is not a fancy place, but there is a ton of information available from the docents. The aquariums are not your sterile one or two species little boxes. These are places teeming with all forms of life- worms, slime, plankton, and the larger stuff. There are aquariums for touching and handling and aquariums to keep your hands out of. Sometimes they have an octopus, but not today!

“Add to your list on Olympic Peninsula”
Reviewed August 3, 2007

When we visited the marine center the tanks and pools were incredibly clean and filled with all types of marine life. There were at least 6 staff present to educate, answer questions and encourage visitors to learn about marine life - including the microscopic animals visible through microscopes. The touch tank was full. The staff was enthusiastic and encouraging to young and old alike. Small facility but well worth your visit.
