Beautiful ocean view, beach access, hiking and a taste of World War II history. The whales were out while we were there. Spectacular. Lots of wildlife. Bathrooms and showers available. Open fields for games. Play area for kids. Covered entertainment area for group BBQ's but reserve ahead. Camping and day use.

The tidepools are amazing! We (a group of 12 ages 59 to 11-1/2 months) spend hours poking around this marine treasure. Great for kids of all ages. Parking can be a little difficult in the "day parking" spots because it's so popular. Don't miss this adventure!!!

One of the best places I've found in the North West for tide pools. Lots of anemones, sea stars. Also has some hiking trails and a large playground. Very popular with the RV crowd.

We camped in the terraced RV portion of the campground, on the 3rd tier. From there we had an incredible view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca, all the way to Canada. Hookups were great, with electric (15 / 30 / 50 amp service) and water. No sewer hookups, RV campers will have to use the dump station on the way out. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of room for awnings. Each site has a fire ring and they sell firewood cheaply on site so you don't have to bring any.

There's lots to do with several nice walks, hikes and rides in the area. Scenery abounds, and the tide pools are glorious at low tide. Several stairways provide access to the tide pools. There are two main campground areas - the section primarily dedicated to RVs as you enter the park, and then a "deep woods" campground in the back which takes both tents and smaller RVs (camping vans, etc.). There are fewer hookups in the back section, but it's just beautiful everywhere. I don't think there's a really bad spot in the whole park, depending on what you're looking for. Of course, the place fills up pretty heavily so you weekend warriors will need to book in well advance or get there early to grab one of the unreservable sites.

We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. Absolutely fantastic campground, wonderful experience. We stayed two nights, which is about right, though three would also be fine. After that, you've probably ridden / hiked all the trails, so unless you're using it as a base from which to explore the rest of the Olympic Peninsula, you'll probably want to move on.

Beautiful area to explore! There is a pavilion there that is covered so in case it rains you can stay warm. There is also a playground for children to play on if you have kids! The view is beautiful and also trails that you can take! You never know what kind of wildlife you will see here! It is a nice place to get away and also go camping at!
