“What a lovely little place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

This place is a little gem overlooking the harbor. We made reservations for a regular room without a view. Upon check-in, an older fine and funny gentleman upgraded us to a room with harbor view for the same price. It was cozy and nicely furnished. Breakfast was basic. The staff was personable, helpful and friendly. This place is worth anybody's consideration.

We picked this Inn from Trip Advisor on the road into Port Angeles. Good choice. We asked for a room with a view and wow, what a view. A classic motel room but big enough for one night. Thank goodness for the lift. Lovely people at the desk and the best "included" continental breakfast in all our 3 weeks. Would stya here any time.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view

Nicely situated hotel, beautiful view from the bluff. It’s pretty exciting to have a front-row view of cruise ships and freighters going by.
But warning: on Sept 22, no internet access was available to guests. The front desk clerk told a story that sounded like the city’s Wi-Fi project ate the hotel’s Wi-Fi; it sure didn’t sound like a short-term problem.

Room Tip: Great view from top floor

Dear Traveler,

I am happy to hear your enjoyed the views from your room. I want to apologize for the Wi-fi problem. In fact the city is installing city wide wi-fi and has scrambled peoples private wi-fi access. We have talked to other hotels in the area and they too are having the same problem. As soon as the city goes live with their system we will be having a technician come in and redo our system.

After staying the previous night in a terrible motel on the edge of town ....this place felt like finding the promised land !

Very friendly staff, lovely room on the 3rd floor with incredible view over the harbour. Short walk from lots of restaurants.

Highly recommended.

We stopped in to Port Angeles on a trip around the Olympic Peninsula recently. While visiting the waterfront, we noticed a motel that sat high on the bluff. Great location. They had some rooms left and we got one on the second floor, elevator. Nice room, kind of standard, but nice. The view was stellar. Stairs at the west side take you down to the main street, of "Twilight" fame. Next to the Bella restaurant and the movie theater from the first movie. We never saw the movie so we had Chinese food. There were 5 or 6 other locations with all different types of food right along the street. The view in the morning of Hurricane Ridge and the waterfront were fantastic. Room rate was good. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the water

For the money this was a good choice. Room was clean, nice breakfast - waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, several choices of juice and coffee/tea.A short, pleasant walk to the ferry. Restaurant the night before was very good. The only thing I would have to say that I was not thrilled about was there was no air condiitoning in the room. Yes, we were there on that rare day when the temps reached high 90s - unheard of for Port Angeles. The hotel had fans in each room at least and they were very nice and friendly I would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you need air conditioning, think to ask ahead of time

We will definitely NOT return to this hotel. It was way over priced. We were on a ten day trip from the Olympic Peninsula into B.C. We stayed at beautiful B&B's and a 5-star hotel none of which was as costly as this "motel 6" type motel. The woman manning the front desk was arrogant (gave us wrong directions and acted as if we were idiots for not seeing her "biggest sing on the bluff", and chilly upon our arrival. The view was the best thing but very noisy since we were right above the main highway.
