Next Door GastroPub is a unique experience in Port Angeles. The music is loud and current, the ambiance is casual and up-to-date.
The service is casual too - it was "seat yourself" and our waitress clearly decided that she could wait on people she knew before attending to us. It took a while, and we became worried that maybe she was not going to take our order, but were glad she had, once our food arrived!!
The beer menu is broad with many good, local choices. But, don't ask your waitress to help you with it - ours didn't seem to know what was on it.
The menu includes many unique choices. We had burgers, sliders, and the fries: one order with bleu cheese topping and one with garlic topping. All exceptional and beyond filling! It might be one of the pricier non-seafood places in town, but not over the top.
We got their before the dinner rush and the place really appeared to fill up, even on a weeknight.
Outdoor patio seats had overhead heaters and an awning, making it "all weather", as long as the restaurant has the doors to the patio open. Patio seats would be okay for dog owners, though the dog seemed expected to remain outside of the "fence".
