“Hit and Miss Breakfasts”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

Went on a Tuesday morning.... awesome! Perfect eggs benny... went on a Saturday... not so awesome this time. Eggs we're extremely ' over-poached' and the Benedict sauce was breaking (separation of fat) which makes it taste greasy and lacked lemon maybe? Seems like a foodie place to eat... you can see the cooks in the kitchen... maybe take note next time who is cooking your food.

“Great lunch”
Reviewed May 30, 2012

My husband and I stopped in after hiking the beautiful Hurricane Ridge. I had a beautiful salad with lots of fresh veggies, fresh strawberries, blue cheese and grilled chicken. My husband had a Bison Burger with sweet potato fries. Both of our meals were prepared very well and used very fresh ingredients. We also shared a HUGE cinnamon roll. Service was friendly, food was great, prices were reasonable, what more could you ask for?

“Yum! Great lunch spot.”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

We came to Port Angeles for the proximity to the mountains - not the cuisine. We were pleasantly surprised by how great this little lunch spot is! After hiking around Hurricane Ridge, First Street Haven is the perfect place to eat and relax. A cozy little restaurant, the sandwiches are delicious and fresh. I recommend the Haven wrap with a side salad - great homemade dressing.

“First Street Haven”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

First Street Haven has friendly, attentive staff. The restaurant is a small and sometimes crowded place but the service and food are very good. They close at 4 pm.

The cinnamon rolls are big and tasty.

“Overcooked and not very good”
Reviewed May 4, 2012

I have been going to this restaurant for about the past 13 years off and on. At the moment, they are not doing a great job with their food. Their pastries and coffees are still pretty good, so if that is all you want then you should head that way! However, the last few times, I have ordered their angus french dip, and their bison brie burger, and the meat in both was so dry and over cooked, it was like I was eating a rock. The bacon that they used for the burger must be precooked and sitting in a vat of grease because it was cold and greasy. YUK Anyway, if you do go there, just don't order real food.

Thank you for your review! At the Haven, quality is our primary concern, so thanks for bringing this problem to our attention. We have talked to our cooks about this and will be changing a few of our kitchen policies to ensure that EVERY order gets the utmost attention to detail. Sorry for your poor experience, we hope you come back to give us another try.
