“Consistantly outstanding Food”
Reviewed December 26, 2013

This restaurant is by far our favorite restaurant on the Peninsula and we take the drive for special occasions. Everything we have ever eaten has been nothing less than delicious however we are stuck on their Crispy Duck & pretty much order it every time we venture into Port Angeles for dinner. We had my husbands birthday party here & everyone that attended loved the food - the restaurant is small and normally pretty crowded so we would suggest arriving early to be seated quickly.

“Best Thai restaurant ever for me!”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

This is a real gem. Extremely popular with local people and it is worth going to eat there.
While we were visiting he Olympic Peninsula, my daughter mentioned that we should go to what she considered was the best Thai restaurant she had ever eaten at. She still remembered it 10 years later.
We went and were not disappointed. It is a relatively small and well decorated restaurant in a quiet neighborhood. But the food was absolutely delicious, from appetizer to dessert. Pad Thai was perfect and service was beyond reproach. It is also nice that wine and beer are available.
If you are in the north end of the Olympic Peninsula, stop by and enjoy a wonderful meal, you will not be disappointed.

“Good, but not great”
Reviewed November 2, 2013

We went to Sabai Thai based on other reviews. Perhaps it is because we have had amazing Thai food in other locations, but we found the entire experience to be less than amazing. To be fair, the food and ambience (in an old house on the street) were both good. However, we found our noodles a bit greasy and the flavors to be fairly bland. We were surprised to get that in a Thai restaurant with such a reputation.

We wouldn't say "don't go"; however, we would recommend balancing your expectations if you've been to truly outstanding Thai food elsewhere.

“Lives up to it's amazing reputation!”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

After seeing the amazing reviews for this place, we had to try it. I'm so glad we did, and will have to return to Port Angeles if for no other reason then to dine here. The crab rangoons melt in your mouth, and the cucumber salad was crisp and refreshing. I had the red curry sauce (I chose 3 stars for spiciness) and it was delectable. I wanted it with prawns, but also wanted some veggies. The waitress suggested and order of 1/2 prawns and 1/2 veggies, which I did with jasmine rice. It was perfect! My husband loved his lamb special. Good wine list, too! The decor and service were authentic and warming, especially on a rainy evening. Wish we lived close enough to dine there regularly (bit of a commute from California). My mouth is watering just thinking about it...
