On the 29th of October in the am-the desk clerks were changing shifts- I sought assistance with road conditions in the area. The male clerk seemed to have no idea how to search the internet. The female clerk started to help me but in the middle of our conversation she told me she was not on duty and continues to count her cash drawer. I realze neither clerk had the knowledge to answer my question however their attitude was uncalled for. At breakfast,in your dining room the waitress was most helpful,

Katherine,

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us, and for taking your time to complete a review. I am so sorry to read of your experience. That was poor to say the least, and I do not expect this to occur at a hotel I manage, and will ensure it is addressed. Please accept my apology. I am so happy we recovered in the CrabHouse in the morning.

Thanks again, and I do hope to have the opportunity to meet you the next time your travels bring you to Port Angeles.

A very nice hotel with all the comforts of home. Found the bed a little too hard but other than that for the price it was well worth it. Had I known it only had plastic glasses and paper coffee cups I would have brought my own along. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Room tip: If you prefer glass or china drinking vessels bring your own. Only plastic glasses and paper cups.

The place was good just way overpriced!! The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, etc., just way too much money.. was in a great area of town, right by the water. It was nice it had a restrarunt attached to it even though it wasn't that good.

Thank you so much for staying with us and for completing a review. We appreciate that you stayed with us, and for the comments you provided. I am sorry that you felt our rates were too high. That is generally not the opinion in our “off-season” after summer. I also regret you felt the restaurant “was not that good”. Once again, not the general sentiment, and certainly not our goal.

Thanks again, and I hope you allow us the opportunity to serve you again, if travels bring you back to Port Angeles.

Externally unattractive but the hotel was warm, clean and comfortable. It had a small pool and was well located for a range of restaurants and shops. Our room,111, overlooked the car park but one side of the hotel overlooks the bay.

Terry,

Thanks for choosing to stay with us and for taking your time complete a review. I am glad you found your accommodations to be clean and comfortable. Our location can’t be beat...waterfront and so close to downtown restaurants and activities.

You are correct about the need for some TLC (or cash). The hotel is currently for sale. We are hopeful new ownership will be able to make the investment that will bring the hotel to the same glory as it’s location and service we provide.

Thanks again, and we look forward to serving you again in the future!

Hotel itself is great, however the Red Lion website is very difficult to work with, not nearly as good as competitors. Rooms are very large and are well appointed. We have stayed in other hotels in Port Angeles and this is the best.
