The accommodations were good, the rooms were cleaned and re-stocked daily. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, I did get sick from eating the Crab Cakes or it could have possibly been the Salmon at the restaurant, I know this to be the cause as it was the only thing I had eaten that day. More

The room was clean, attractive and quiet. The hotel is very convenient to the Vancouver Island Ferry and parking was easy and convenient. The reception staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I would certainly pick this hotel again in Port Angeles.

We rented at Red Lion Hotel during our vacation to WA. As far as a review, nothing about it was particularly noteworthy about the stay. We were first tested by offering us a room with a poor view; when we complained the desk clerk switched to a much nicer room with a great view of the harbor! The location is good: within walking distance to restaurants, downtown shops, services, etc. Another amenity is that this had a laundry room which was across the hall & very handy!
Now as for the negatives: the room was old-fashioned with décor from the eighties! The bathroom had a strange layout that was not user friendly, although adequate! The bedding was odd and not very comfortable. It appeared as if the hotel chain bought an older hotel and are just renting it out! Not at all special

Those are awesome rooms! I also appreciate your comments you made about our location to local restaurant sand shops. That is also a great feature of this hotel.
As far as "not al all special"...we did have some upgrades completed last year, but primarily exterior painting and technology improvements. Currently, the hotel is for sale; we are hopeful that new ownership will provide the capital investment that will bring a sense of special back to the building. In spite of that, we do strive to provide the best service experience on the Olympic Peninsula, and trust that came through from our Associates!
I do hope that if your travels bring you through our area again, you will allow us another opportunity to serve you again!

The single best feature of this hotel is that in two minutes you are in the line up for the ferry to Victoria. It is a bit overpriced I think but the convenience is a bonus, It is also within walking distance of lots of restaurants, a great bookstore and antique shops. The access to the walk along the water is also a bonus

The hotel is located perfectly for getting around without having to drive. The room we had was on the inside so no view of the ocean but it was clean and had everything we needed. I was pleased to find that they had a small cardio room that was open 24/7. If you are looking for a place to stay that is location based for easy access to food and shopping, this is it. We would stay here again.

Great location on water. Water view rooms are the way to go. Rooms have outside balconies. Everything within walking distance & right next to Ferry to Victoria, BC. Olympic Park, Crescent Lake, Port Townsend all 20 minute Drive,
