“You have a lot of work to do”

The bed was comfy, unfortunately, the rest of our experience was not. We were given access cards to room 141. There was a flooded bathroom when we first walked in. Back to the front desk to make them aware of the issue. Moved to room 148 which was to be a non-smoking room. There had either been smokers in the room previously or it was coming from another room. The air conditioner was noisy and prevented us from getting much sleep. Someone's car alarm went off at 3:15 AM (nothing you could have done about that) and, finally, the ultimate issue that should never happen in a hotel-no hot water for showers. The night manager was courteous and friendly. The clerk that checked us out was not- just basic customer service skills would have been nice such as greeting a guest with a smile and a friendly attitude, asking about our stay, offering to help with directions, recommending neighboring services such as gas, food or other services that a visitor may be looking for, and at a minimum, saying thank you instead of just handing us the receipt without acknowledgement or even a departing standard "have a nice day." You have a lot of work to do if you intend to focus on increasing revenue, building repeat clientele and being the stay of choice with respect to the competition you face at this exit. Our experience at this facility is a significant detriment to the Baymont brand.

We cannot thank you enough for sharing your comments regarding your recent stay with us at the Baymont Inn & Suites. Although I am horrified to hear you endured such a negative experience, your honesty is invaluable to all of us, as we definitely do not wish to have history repeat itself.

Please be assured we have addressed each issue with all of our associates and they understand there is no excuse, especially for the lack of customer service you received. Again, we so appreciate your feedback….a hard lesson to learn from, but your business and complete satisfaction is the only thing that matters.

There was renovations going on at the front entrance, it was awful. The rrom was no-smoking but smelled like smoke! the internet/computer was slow, and kept logging off, which was very annoying. The young lady at the desk was very pleasant.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Macon. We are very pleased that our staff was helpful, but certainly regret that your experience was less than perfect.

We recently took over this hotel and are in the process of making necessary product improvements; unfortunately, it was a major inconvenience during your stay, so I sincerely apologize.

We are also addressing the issue with the odor in your room. Although it was certainly a non-smoking room, it is obvious a previous guest had not complied, which in such cases, our housekeeping department should have blocked the room until it could be completely treated.

Your comments are extremely valuable, and we so appreciate the time you took to make us aware of the situation. We sincerely hope you will give us another chance when traveling through Macon, as we would like to exceed your expectations during your next stay.
