The bed was comfy, unfortunately, the rest of our experience was not. We were given access cards to room 141. There was a flooded bathroom when we first walked in. Back to the front desk to make them aware of the issue. Moved to room 148 which was to be a non-smoking room. There had either been smokers in the room previously or it was coming from another room. The air conditioner was noisy and prevented us from getting much sleep. Someone's car alarm went off at 3:15 AM (nothing you could have done about that) and, finally, the ultimate issue that should never happen in a hotel-no hot water for showers. The night manager was courteous and friendly. The clerk that checked us out was not- just basic customer service skills would have been nice such as greeting a guest with a smile and a friendly attitude, asking about our stay, offering to help with directions, recommending neighboring services such as gas, food or other services that a visitor may be looking for, and at a minimum, saying thank you instead of just handing us the receipt without acknowledgement or even a departing standard "have a nice day." You have a lot of work to do if you intend to focus on increasing revenue, building repeat clientele and being the stay of choice with respect to the competition you face at this exit. Our experience at this facility is a significant detriment to the Baymont brand.
