This great Hotel has thick quiet walls.

Super friendly staff (Ann).

Nice, nice Hot b-fast.

A pool from the old days you can do laps in !

And rates that make us want to come back to.

Easy on and off to I-75/16 and downtown with resturants close by.

We were passing through Macon on our way to Florida. Stopped at couple of hotels and they were fully booked and finally at this best western. Good friendly staff. Nice comfy bed and pool was good. Breakfast was plus. Will stay again and recommend friends.

Arrived at 1:00 am, and was greeted by one of the nicest, most polite, night desk staff I have ever met. He was very efficient and helpful. The property is definitely older, but our room was extremely clean and the bed and linens were wonderful. I booked because of price since it was only for one night on way back home from Florida, but would definitely stay again. I was pleasantly surprised by cleanliness, comfortable bed/room, and great staff. Breakfast was good for being continental- it was one of the largest breakfast areas I've been in and they had a large variety to choose from. Only drawback- side entrance door was left unlocked- not a problem, but not the best for security purposes.

Even though I asked for a "riverview" room and learned that it is NOT on the river, the overall experience was excellent for the cost. Friendly, clean, location convenient to city. The grounds are well maintained and very attractive. We had a view of the Gazebo and close to the pool and it included breakfast. The receptionist went way out of her way to accommodate us regarding the points that we needed to credit to my friend's husband's account. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Courtyard/Pool view.

My husband and I thought this was a perfect place to stop on our half way mark to Florida and felt the $62.00 for a KING was a fair deal. While the hotel was not an easy on/off of I75 it was a short drive to reach the location .For starters, we made reservations earlier to guarantee a room and upon checking in was told that there were no more rooms with a KING available. Isn't that why a person makes advance reservations??? OK, no big deal, we can live with the two double beds. We were then told to drive around to Building D. We drove around the hotel to various parts of the building but no where was it posted with A-B-C-D as she mentioned. After locating our area of the hotel we were shocked to find out there were no security locks on the entry doors and ANYONE from the outside could enter the hallways of the hotel. This was a very disturbing thought for my husband and myself. It was late (after 10P) and we were tired and just wanted a shower and a good nights rest before we continued our long drive south. Upon entering our room there was a distict smell that would later be identified as wet carpet. My husband had kicked off his shoes and took two steps to be standing in a satuated area of wet carpet. After investigating the room more we were very upset to discover water puddles sitting on the counter, the bathroom mirror had dried water spots on the ENTIRE mirror, toilet paper dispenser was empty, more water dripping off microwave onto counter, which was then dripping down mini refrigerator. After inspecting the ceiling we noticed water drops in one area and contacted front desk. We were told they were booked solid and apologized claiming a guest above us earlier had left wet towels on the carpet and dumped their ice bucket on the floor thus causing the water issue. I am sorry but this kind of water damage was more likely from a tub or toilet overflowering or perhaps a COOLER of water being dumped. We felt we could clean up the water with towels, fortunately we had an extra roll of TP handy and we weren't going to use the ammenities that evening so we overlooked this for the time being. They did provide a modern flat screen television but that was the only recent update to that room. Linens and decorations were all screaming a 90's theme. The long awaited slumber we were hoping for never happened and while the beds were ok and the bedding was satisfactory we were both somewhat grossed out to find the shower with black markings of some sort on the bottom. Instead of contacting front desk I decided to talk face to face about these issues and found the only way to reach the front desk was to walk through a lush, botantical area OUTSIDE across the walk way to get back to the main lobby without having to go back to the car and drive around the parking lot to the front of the hotel. It was not a safe situation given the fact that anyone could be hiding among these trees and bushes and there was no locked security on the doors. I returned to the room, phoned the front desk and requested the manager call me on my cell in the morning. We lasted four hours, enough sleep to keep us going and feeling a lot safer after we left, than when we arrived. I did receive a call from the manager the next morning. He was very polite, explained the situation again and promptly refunded our money via sending a check in the mail to our home. From a business standpoint he was professional and that much was greatly appreciated. I later found out each Best Western is individually owned. Please be aware of any hotel that does not provide security locks on outside entry doors.

We stayed here on our way to Florida. The Front Desk Clerk was extremely helpful when we checked in (without a reservation). She pointed us to a good restaurant as well.
Check in and Check out were very easy.
Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the morning breakfast was hot & good.
