“A Macon institution that is an acquired taste”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Drove by this place and decided to stop for lunch. Had a loaded chili cheese slaw dog with fries. The hot dogs are colored red (which is strange), the tablespoon of slaw was just OK, but the chili had an odd taste to me (and this is from someone who eats Cincinnati-style chili a lot). The cheese was a half slice of American stuck alongside the dog in the bun. Not my favorite, but an interesting experience.

“Great No Airs or Graces”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Brilliant experience for Scottish visitors, we loved it. Friendly staff, great fun trying to understand each other's accents thanks to patient local staff!! Have never seen RED hot dogs before. Only wish the malt machine had been working. Low cost treat great atmosphere.

“Nice an red”
Reviewed March 20, 2013 via mobile

A great place for a dog. Been here for years, great atmosphere. My wife ordered one "plain" and the waitress would not let here order it that way. It was all in good fun and she got a plain dog. I ordered one with the works, minus onions. Very good. Probably should have ordered two since they are a little on the small side. Fun place, must do in Macon.

“Must Visit on a trip to Macon”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

Family owned place that specializes in Hot dogs...FABULOUS hot dogs. We waited in line on a saturday for about 15 mins. Well worth it. All locations are run by the same family. Fries, Malts and dogs are very good. Everyone is friendly, clean and priced well.

“My kind of joint”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

This is the kind of place that rarely exists anymore. It is an old-fashioned diner that specializes in fries, burgers, milkshakes, and dogs. There is nothing fancy about this place, but it's clean and comfortable. It made me feel as if I had walked into a malted shop from the 50s or 60s, just like places depicted in movies about those eras. There aren't any frills, but the service is quick, the staff polite, and the food is tasty. It's not going to break the bank, either.
