After a long day full of terrible delays on the highway we arrived in Macon Georgia later than expected and went right to this restaurant near our hotel.

We were seated and served immediately. A bowl of chips and salsa appeared right away. They were great and after devouring a bowl another fresh bowl appeared without asking. Guess we were hungry. We ordered an unusual drink for a Mexican Restaurant, vodka martinis. They were prepared perfectly, a great pour and only $7.00. Wow!

We had the Enchilada Supreme and the Chicken fajitas. Our meals came out quickly and service was very good. Dinner was very good. Great price for dinner for two with three drinks!

After a terrible trip through intense rain and horrific traffic coming from Nashville we decided to change our stay from Valdosta to Macon. It was late, dark, and totally frustrating. Now, there were lots of chain restaurants as would be expected when one stays just of the Interstate, but we found Margaritas because we could not find what we were looking for. Wonderful surprise.

Coming in out of the driving rain on December 16, the place was busy yet well staffed and food attendants were all over. We decided to sit at the bar, watch TV and try their new dish - something, something, or other (Carnes Magnifico - seems appropriate). It was $18.00 which seems high for any Mexican dish, but proved to be a great value of delectable treats. The dish arrived in a hand made basalt bowl. Must have weighed ten pounds. Inside were pork, beef, shrimp, cacti, chorizo, and rice bathed in cinammon, red pepper and tomatoes. They did not prepare this for the bland of taste. Yowzers.

The relief of this wonderful food and service, not to mention a shot or two of tequila, melted away the feelings of time warp one gets when driving for 8 hours straight. I stopped swaying and started living. This dish was soooo good, we ate it the next day and half was still left. If you want LARGE, and you want SPICY (without any special sauce), and you want a SMILE when you are far from home - Margaritas!

Easy to get to with ample parking. Seated quickly in a comfortable booth. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Chips and salsa were delivered immediately and drink orders taken. Food was served hot and well prepared. Tasted delicious! We will stop here again😃

Right up front I will state that I am not a huge fan of Mexican food, and usually try to avoid it, but this restaurant seemed to be the best option among mostly fast-food and buffet-style places close to our La Quinta hotel.

My wife ordered the Smothered Chicken and I ordered the Jalisco Ribeye Steak with grilled shrimp. The chicken and shrimp were tasty and the steak was cooked to order. Both came with crisp salads. Neither outstanding nor disappointing. Shawn, our server, took good care of us with a smile. With a beer and 2 glasses of wine, the total was $45 plus tip.
