We made our first visit after Natalia's was folded into a multi-restaurant collective--that now has all of the best Macon up-scale eaterys.
We missed the familiarity of waitstaff and bartenders that we have known over the years, but the new faces quickly proved up to the tasks of making us feel at home.
The menu has not changed much, but we noted that we had the chance to see a written (stylishly done) description of the daily specials. Our server also went over the selections with the class and competence we have come to expect.
Are party was four. We all ordered different entrees and shared samples. The veal chop was sumptuous and perfectly prepared. The angel-hair pasta got raves. The fish-of-the-day was splendid. The focus of our party was a recent retiree; she had the veal scalopinni that we all thought was grand.
Early in our meal we had an incident (spilled beverage that dampened the evening, at first). The waitstaff was prompt and reassuring and replaced the tablecloth, settings, and utensils without making us feel bad about the fumble.
At the end, dessert was served with special attention to the retiree.
(But, she did note that the chocolate roulade was not very chocolaty. She received a extra serving of the fudge sauce that made all things well.)
The ambience and quality of Natalia's is intact.
