So on our way to Atlanta from Savannah, we hit the road with a late start. By the time we realized it, it was past the typical lunch rush. So I went searching for something in Macon. For some reason “Korean-Mexican fusion” jumped out at me more than anything. So we set the GPS and off we went. Again, this was after a typical lunchtime. It was easy to find with plenty of parking.
Now I wanted to look over the menu prior to getting there and had my eye on a few different items. This is a walkup ordering restaurant and they bring the food to you or at least they did since it was slow. I ordered the Asian Nachos, and a Beef Burrito (with Bulgogi and Kimchi Rice) and Amee also ordered the sesame fries.
The Asian Nachos consisted of chips with cheese, lettuce, Bulgogi beef, and jalapeños. It was light but still really good.
The Beef Burrito with Bulgogi and Kimchi Rice was a nice mix of flavors and hit the spot. Definitely something you want to pick up.
The Sesame Fries were also pretty good, served with a chili sauce, I kept thinking how it would taste if you merged the fries with the nachos, sort of like how you can order Carne Asada Fries at a taco shop. Not sure that they would do that for anyone, but I bet it would taste great.
The staff was friendly. Clean dining area. Nice bathrooms. Reasonably priced. It almost seemed like this was the result of years in a food truck and now they had an actual restaurant.
Fusion can sometimes be fickle. But not in this case. Definitely try them if you live locally or are just traveling through.
