AMP is a great park. The WWII movies and museum are very informative and a must see for tourists and locals interested in the war. The bookstore is great in terms of selection and the staff is always helpful. Ranger Nancy is the best!

“Very informative.”
Reviewed June 1, 2013

I did not get everywhere, but the museum has a good exhibit about Saipan's experience in the War in The Pacific, with a 20-minute movie. The park rangers there (middle-aged women) are very enthusiastic, helpful, and have good stories themselves. The grounds are nice to walk around and fun for family photos.

“American Memorial Park”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

AMP is one of the best parks in America. The beach is great. The water sports of scuba, wind sailing, kayaking, and swimming in the Saipan western lagoon can't be beat anywhere, as the world wind surfers will attest. The breeze here is constant trade winds and the walking trails connecting the harbor, WWII museum beach, and park is shaded and peaceful. One can view Managaha off the park coast. This is a FIVE STAR park.

“Excellent and informative!”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

Really enjoyed the museum which told the story of what transpired in WWII - from both American and Japanese sides. I spent quite a while reading every caption and taking in the whole story. Very well done! (Actualy visit July/August 2009)
