“Fun local color”
Reviewed December 10, 2011

This is the every Thursday night street market in the asian district and just about everyone within miles turns out for. Local arts and crafts but the big draw is the food. There are a couple of blocks of food vendors selling everything local and asian to eat that you can think of and most everything is $1 an item. For 4 or 5 bucks you can walk away full

“Thursday night street eating with international flair”
Reviewed December 8, 2011

Everything is $1. Walked up and down and tried many foods. Very crowded with locals and tourists. Runs about from 5pm to 9 pm. Really cool. Was Christmas time and local kids doing shows in chammoro was cool. A must see.

“5 Choices for 5 Dollar!!”
Reviewed March 12, 2010

Every Thursday evening. The only thing like it on Saipan, it's a nice change-over from beachside picnics, swimming or bike-riding. The market is crowded with people and features cheap (read: low-quality) albeit locally made jewelry, artwork and knick-knacks. It also seems like every Thai, Chamorro, Japanese, Chinese and Korean restaurant on the island has a stand there full of noodles, veggies, and most importantly, glazed meat on a stick. Most of the stands offer a deal where you select your 5 (sometimes 6) favorite dishes from a bewildering array of trays and end up with a pile of food big enough to stuff two people silly for just 5 dollars. What a great way to have have a cheap meal and try a little bit of everything!
