“yummy delicious pork belly”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

have visited this restaurant at least 6 times in last 6 months travelling down south. really enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the friendly service. The pork belly is so tender and spicy. Great choice of desserts. Prices are reasonable and the meals a decent size.
great all round experience with great views, great music, great food and atmosphere.

“Great Sunday dinner!”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

We liked this place so much we ate there on both nights of our brief visit. The service was excellent, drinks reasonably priced and very good wholesome food. Well done!

“Excellent food in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

We honestly stopped in here the first night because the happy hour prices looked good. Took a seat on the outdoor patio, enjoying the warmth of the outdoor fireplace, looking at the mountains and waterfalls and drinking Speith's draft beer, when we decided to try the food.

Wow! Everyone (4 of us) thought their meal was fantastic. I had the venison bangers and mash, very tasty. Then we noticed that if you came back for a 2nd night, that you got a free dessert.

So we came back for night two. My friend Dave got the pork belly, which he pronounced one of the best meals he'd ever eaten. Again, everyone happy with their meal. But when it came time for dessert, we were surprised to learn that each of the 4 of us got their own individual huge dessert -- and they were fantastic! Very pretty and tasty. I had the Sticky Date and Toffee Pudding, complete with fancy hard candy drizzle, and it was incredibly good.

We had a great time here. The pace of service was leisurely, which was fine with us.

“Initial greet poor”
Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

We were poorly greeted and gruffly pointed at a table. Luckily anithrr waitress looked after us and was very good. Food was good but not exceptional. The wait time for food was lobg but not too long. Its quite up there for a franz reataurant but would die if it was in queenstown becauae other competitors would be so much better
