Yup nz20 for some food and drinks from 4-6pm during happy hours. When we arrive it's full of patrons but they manage to get us seats for 6 persons without much waiting . Service was good and fast , atmosphere was cosy and comfortable , the food was great . We ordered 3 happy hours food which is roast pork , nachos and beef , pizza , non happy hours food we order was two lamb shank which is delicious and pavlova berries which is superb .

Happy hour between 4-6 pm and happy hour meals from 4-6pm too, main meals including a drink for $20 each. Food of a really great quality and we would definitely recommend.

Nice variety of menu items, efficient service, reasonably priced. Veg fritters were a little dry but kiwi chutney was an interesting NZ touch

I would rate the dinner that I had at 7.5/10.
There are also dinner special meals which are quite good value, they includes one glass of beer or wine. From memory I think they were about $25
The table next to me ordered several of these and said they were good.

We recently visited Franz and were recommended Alice Mays by our hotel. Unfortunately the meals didn't live up to expectation. Of all the places we ate over a two week road trip the meals were the least memorable. The roast was dry and our other meals left 3 of us ready to leave without seeing the dessert menu as we didn't want to spend anymore $ on meals that weren't quiet up to what we hoped for.
