“Good idea but not very well executed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

Our kids loved it. We found it relaxing. We think that a sauna is de rigeur in such a place. The infrastructure is kind of strange. The lockers are not in the changing room forcing you to walk through the pool area with all your belongings. Before getting into the pool this is somehow ok, but when you come out and get your stuff it will inevitably get wet. The changing rooms were quite cold and there are no blow-dryers available. In a cold Franz Josef night this turns out to be a problem when you have three longhaired females wanting to leave the place with dry hair. It is quite expensive. The massages are totally overpriced.

“A good place to cure your aches and pains!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 22, 2013

When we were in Franz Josef we couldn't get to the Glacier it was too wet. So a girl from our bus suggested the hot pools. It was reasonably priced and relaxing after travelling. we started in the medium temp pool it was relaxing we made our way to the cooler pool then the really hot one. It s relaxing surrounding with friendly people and clean facilities it makes you feel relaxed and refreshed. We made friends there too!

“Very Enjoyable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2013

we recently enjoyed a couple of hours at the Glacier Hot Pools and thoroughly enjoyed them. We thought the pools were very attractively set up among the rainforest. Being a quiet time in the area we were fortunate enough not to have to share the pools with crowds and we enjoyed the tranquillity of the hot pools. It was also good to have an alternative activity in the area to enjoy after all the outdoor activity.

“Amazing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013

I stayed in Franz Josef for two nights & did this while i was there. I had a 1 hour massage & then got entrance to the hot pools included. My massage was great & i was so relaxed that i thought i was going to fall asleep on the table!! After that i went & collected my towel & robe from the desk (& the $2 they gave me for a locker) & headed out to the pools. The surrounding is beautiful as you have all the trees & ferns around the pools. I started in the 38 degree pool & ended up staying in there pretty much the whole time, then made my way to the 40 degree pool for about 5 minutes before leaving. Overall, incredibly relaxing & i would go back there again. =)

“Nice place for a rainy day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

It was a nice place to spend an hour or two on a rainy day. The pools are designed around the local vegetation.
