Stayed here a couple of nights and enjoyed it. Motel is a few minutes walk from Fox Glacier guided walks, pub and cafe's. It's clean and spacious with free WiFi. Lovely views of the mountains and very quiet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like is that I felt that the windows needed Net Cutains to give more privacy. Also the windows need fly screens to stop the sandflies coming in! I found a lot of accomodation on the west coast didn't have insect screens and biting insects are a nuisance on this side of the Island.

We stayed two nights at the rainforest and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room we where first allocated had some bad cooking odours from the previous guests activities, so before unpacking we brought this to the attention of the management and they were very obliging and quick to give us another room. The second room was clean, very large and comfortable and no smells. The view of the snow capped Alps from the large glass windows was magnificent.
The staff were very knowledgeable about all the things to do at Fox Glacier, and very helpfully in getting us booked on the tours we decided to do.
The motel is less than 5 min walk to the great little town of Fox Glacier where there is a small general store, pub and several good places to eat.

I stayed for 2 nights during my visit to fox glacier for glacier walking with helicopter rides. The motel is situated on the main side street off the highway/main road at the very small town of Fox glacier. It is about just a 5 minutes walk from the location where the intercity bus arrives/depart.

The owner, Kate, was very kind and helpful and and the room that i stayed was nice and clean with all the amenities available in most of the standard motels. The only negative point is the poor wi-fi signals due to the location of the motel/town in the midst of the mountains.

Overall, a pleasant stay here and i do recommend this motel to those who needs motel facilities while visiting Fox glacier.

Stayed for a night while driving up the West Coast. A short walk to town, a great view out the front window, clean and quiet. Couldn't ask for anything more. The owner was very friendly and gave us some good tips about places to run ... and eat!

The hosts were fabulous, very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit. The entire front of the units are windows, so the general public can see the contents of your suitcase scattered around the room, unless you close the curtains.

The rooms were clean and bright. The kitchenette was very poorly equipped. There was an old hot plate which had one burner that worked. There were exactly 2 plates, 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 spoons, etc. It was a bit frustrating to actually try to prepare and eat even an easy meal.

We stayed 2 nights. The second night we could hear the rumble of the neighboring room's heater all night.

The view out of our window was of the parking lot and the office. There is a huge grassy area with picnic tables in the back that has a beautiful view of the mountains.

Stayed in a 2-bedroom place for 3 nights (planned 2, but stay an additional night). The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, pretty roomy and reasonably priced! The owners were friendly, and had good advice for local attractions, restaurants, etc. Short walk to cafes, store, and restaurant in Fox Glacier. Access to a washer and dryer for laundry service. What a Great Place!

We stayed for 2 nights. It is 3 minutes to town and i-site. Friendly owners, clean and cosy room, pleasant environment, good facilities, good value. Only the wireless signal is not good in the room but it did not affect our mood. Recommended.
