What a wonderful experience. We visited Franz and Fox Glaciers and Fox is definitely the best. The guides were first class and really looked after us. They ensured I had an alpenstock right from the start and this ensured I was able to complete the walk, which I loved. Getting on to the ice was a task, but one I looked forward too. Once on the ice it was just magic. Being able to go down in the hole, I don't know the technical name, was incredible and the guide had forewarned us to take a drinking bottle. I was able to fill it in about 1/2 second and to drink the water was magnificent. Loved it, recommend to all to see - Enjoy

Four of us did the morning slot at Fox Glacier on the 8/01/2013. The set up is very professional, providing you with all the equipment you need (e.g., shoes, thermal socks, coat, rucksack). Our guide was Jonny who was very knowledgeable and experienced - ensuring we had a great day but also a safe one. The experience is superb and well worth the trip to Fox. We were fortunate to have good weather, the next morning it was hammering down! Thanks Fox Glacier Guiding!

We were lucky to have a fine, cloudy day for this half day trip as it rains over 250 days a year at Fox Glacier. We were fitted with good walking boots so no need to bring your own. It was worth bringing an extra top to put on when we got onto the glacier as there was a bit of a wind. The guides were friendly and informative, and very safety conscious. We had about an hour on the glacier and got to see and feel it close up. It was amazing.

We went on the Fox Trot half day guided walk. Our guide was Gretchen all the way from Alaska, she was superb. It was all very professional and well organised. We had a fantastic day and this is something not to be missed. Hint - don't bother taking your own boots as the ones they provide are super comfortable and the crampons they provide might not fit yours anyway. We had to change our booking due to the weather and they were super flexible with no extra cost incurred.

We did a half day Helihike. We were fortunate to get a clear sunny day, although we all got caught out with some sunburn - the glacier reflects the sun back up at you. Steve was our guide and we had a great time trekking over the Glacier. We were 6 NZ Adults and for all of us this was the highlight of our trip. The guides told us they do not get many New Zealanders doing the trip and that is a great shame because it is an experience of a lifetime. I can see that it could look expensive to NZers but I would rate this asbetter than a flight to Sydney and as good as one music concert and they are similar costs.
