Nice reception staff, you can park your campervan wherever you want, bathroom and kitchen are clean. Good location as it's close to fox glacier track and lake Matheson. Would recommend it to other travelers !

Stayed two nights there in March. A little small town built special to tour the Glaciers. All services as Helicopter trip. Bus trips and souvenirs. A few restaurants and one main street. Not much to do at night. One or 2 bars only.
We had a 1 br suit. 1 room had 2 single beds and the family room had 1 queen siez bed and no sofas or any place to seat and watch TV. A very small kitchen and a small table an 4 chairs to seat. No much place for suitcases or ant bags.
The front of our room was facing the rv camping park with many campers. Noisy all time and smell of gasoline. A big kitchen for the capers was next to us with all the noise and smells. Parking is gravel in the back and paved in front.
The WiFi was very weak in our room and we had to go to the office to get good signal.

Room tip: Try to get a room in the front next to the office.

Stayed at Fox Glacier Lodge at the end of March 2017. Nice little town that is easy to get around and close to Fox Galcier. We stayed in an upstairs double room, the room was quiet big with a nice seating area and a view of the mountains. The bed was really comfortable and gave a good nights sleep. There is no aircon in the rooms, generally this would not matter as it gets cold at night but the afternoon had been warm and the open windows were just not cutting it. We also had a view of the adjoining camper van parking area. This did annoy me as we had paid for a nice lodge in Fox Glacier and it just felt like a cabin in a caravan park. The noise from the camper van area did not bother me and we didn't notice it going until too late, however we did stay mid week. The bathroom was a bit oddly set out but there was a good shower and a towel warming rack which was nice in the morning. The staff were friendly and helpful with the lodge being in an excellent location. I do not think I would stay here again unless I was in a camper van, the facilities in that area of the lodge seemed quiet good. We did not have breakfast at the lodge.

Stayed two nights there recently on the camper van site and was very impressed. Sites very spacious and looked after. Kitchen and BBQ facilities were excellent. Bathroom facilities were good as well just could have done with another loo or two. Would definetly stay here again.

A nice warm feel to this well appointed motel room with a second story mezzanine sleeping area. Great as the warm air rose to make the upper area very cosy. Even in February it gets rather chilly but the in room heating was very effective. The facilities were all we needed and a close walk to restaurants in the evening and cafés in the morning for breakfast. I would suggest you make a reservation for dinner as dinning is limited and the west coast is very busy during the tourist seasons. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to see in the area .along with making reservations on the scenic flights

Room tip: I don't think it matters where you are its a quite motel off the main road
