“Great place to stop”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We stopped here on our way to Greymouth and were very pleased. The cafe is clean and food looked lovely (we had eaten a large lunch so didn't try anything). Had a walk around the farm, the animals were friendly and obviously well cared for.
The owner joined us for a cup of tea and chatted about the local area and their future plans for the park, she was very friendly.
Would certainly recommend this as a place to stop, great for children to stretch their legs and feed the animals.

“Rude”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

This woman was just rude and grumpy. I walked in and said good morning, not a smile, not a reply at all. She over charged me for coffee. Said it was $5 but charged $5.50 then proceeded to get naky because I wished to throw out a drink can. Forget this place, there is another place 2kms further up the road.

“Stop Here”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

Just off the main road, great food and lovely hosts .Very large car park, super clean restrooms and the animal park adds to the ambiance.I stop here now instead of in Murchison.

“Poor customer service”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

Visited Red Barn with friends for the first time rather than stopping at usual cafe in Murchison. Served by rude, unfriendly woman and did not enjoy eating while hens and peacocks walked around the outdoor tables. Will not stop there again.
